Last manager who City fans really wanted sacked

Hughes was basically probably a decent mid table manager. He bought in amongst others. Barry, Kompany, Zab, DeJong, Lescott and a fair bit of dross his dealings were far from perfect. At times we played some decent football particularly when Ireland was on his game and we had some good matches...

Last manager who City fans really wanted sacked

Last manager who I personally wanted sacked was Pearce. Didn't object to Hughes's sacking, but I wasn't particularly seeking it.

I'm not disagreeing with the emphasis and thoughts of your post. I like Jack. But in the interests of accuracy I think he did at least in part put the price tag on himself. It was pretty clear at the time that we bought him on a buy out clause which would have been agreed with Grealish and his...

Most of our rivals are in Europe in one way or another so that does affect them as much as us to be fair. The recovery won't always be the same as it does matter when the home fixture is and what the precise gap is but that is not known when they decide the seasons fixtures.

    Cole Palmer

I have given up on what exactly is a pen in different competitions, seems to be different in Europe and England. In one respect though your summary is wrong. The shot could not have been on goal , he directed it towards the goal and it was still wide.

I don't think we robbed it, we were not great and could have lost, but we created a bit as well and had a bit more possession and were looking better than them when Doku was on. The only game I've seen this season that I'd have said we robbed it had we won was the first Villa game.

Doku changed it but Ortega kept us in it till then. I gave it to him.

Gutsy performance from a tired team, well done all of them.

Worthwhile Man City related Twitter Accounts

Don't use twitter much but Alyson Rudd usually has an interesting take on City matters, particularly the relative merits of Klopp and Pep.

Commentators were saying if only Liverpool had taken their chances. I thought Atalanta created more and better chances and could have won the match as well as the tie.

How's your mood after the RM game?

Not long back after spending the night in the van. Very proud of the teams performance last night I thought we played well without luck. Very disapointed to be out obviously, but not with the performance or the fans and that's all you can ask for.

Must admit whereas I think course management is quite important. I don't really agree with the examples quoted and think they are pretty poor generic advice. With the modernised Stroke Index system the distribution of strokes should not represent their difficulty but to give a good distribution...

This is actually unlikely. There is a bloke called Mark Broadie who has analysed golf statistically and whose statistical analysis is now used by the majority of serious tournament professionals and many amateurs to analyse their own games. One of his findings was that at all levels of golf...

There's been a lot of statistical analysis of golf in recent years and whereas short game and putting are maybe good for quick wins major improvements in golf are usually from improvements in the long game.

I'm not to sure who would have been considered top 30 in the world when we signed them. Pretty certain amongst others Ake, Akanji, Stones Ederson Doku, Rodri Alvarez etc would not have been. In all honesty Phillips as a full England International regular may well have been rated higher than some...
