It is true he is going. Not sure if its his choice or if he has been sacked. Very sad. I am 55 and went to Wembley in 76, Mancini has in reality made the club what I always knew it was even in the third division, top English team and one of the biggest and best in Europe. Yeh, big style in the Kippax in late 60s early 70s, especially in boring games with few away fans. You would get people chanting the where they came from eg Langley, Wythenshawe, Stockport, eg Stockport blues we are here etc etc then others would start chanting wanky wanky wythenshawe etc then...

From my vague memory..... Kippax in the early 70s when the 'segregation' was a piece of rope separating the away fans in the Platt Lane corner of the Kippax from the City fans in the bulk of the Kippax, mainly against the rags. Loads of charges both ways into the opposing fans and bricks...

We always stood just to the left of the halfway line, maybe 40 or 50 or so rows up from the front. Everyone i knew met there and we got to know all the people around us, everyone always went to the exact same space, for years, until it was made all seater. We then ended up towards the away fans...

The pitch has already been sunk - this happened when the 38,000 Commonwealth Games Stadium was converted by the club to 47,700. If we sink it much more we'll be linkin up with the old coal shafts down there. My understanding is that the stadium was NOT designed to be expanded after being taken...
