Claims the band didn't know about Dynamic pricing, not sure I'm buying that either.. https://www.nme.com/news/music/oasis-wembley-stadium-extra-reunion-dates-tickets-invite-only-no-surge-pricing-3790552

Definitely the music was the major part. But they fact they were normal, relatable lads was definitely part of the reason why they became such a phenomenon. I remember that third album well, they released it on a Thursday as a "fuck you" to the industry, and it was still the fastest selling...

I think the difference is, one of the reasons they became so popular is because they were against the corporate machine. Noel''s on record at an award ceremony saying it means more that it was voted for by "the people as opposed to corporate pigs". He said at the outset the band was there to...

Think you're potentially missing the point here. I waited in the queue for 7 hours, looking for £150 tickets. When I eventually got to the front, the exact same ticket had been hiked up to £350. I chose not to buy it. At least half a dozen people I know experienced the exact same thing...

I think the way it works is the promoter (SJM) guarantees the artist a certain figure (rumoured to be £50m each). I think it's standard for promoters to base this guaranteed figure on selling 80% of the tickets at the standard rate. Then any sales above that are split between the promoter...

Surely there are other events that see a similar surge in traffic that don't make you wait 7 hours? Kim Kardashian's latest selfie, games being released in the run up to xmas etc? I can't ever recall Amazon or Instagram crashing / running exceptionally slow due to sheer volume of traffic...

Why do you think it took Ticketmaster so long to process the sales on Saturday? I appreciate demand was high, but you hear of tours selling out in 5 minutes, why did this take 7 hours? Surely Amazon, Meta or Google could knock up the infrastructure needed to sell tickets and handle the volumes...

    Oasis reunion

Ticketmaster seem to essentially have a monopoly on big gigs in the UK. Seetickets and Gigsandtours are nowhere near capable of handling tours of this size. With no alternative, the consumer is getting absolutely fucked. It needs breaking up, absolutely appalling customer service, sky high...

Would you spend 50 dates in Fergurson's company for £100m?

    Oasis reunion

I think they have totally underestimated it. If they wanted to cash in, they could have done 50 dates, they'd have sold out easily. Selling a few thousand tickets for double the price wouldn't scratch the arse of an extra 30 full stadiums.

    Oasis reunion

What an absolute shit show this has been. They could have sold this out 10 times over, they've completely underestimated the demand and how to deal with it.

I've seen photos from that shoot, but some of them are new to me. Best take it up with the Mirror if you have any complaints.
