    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

Our most threatening player tonight. He should be first name in the team sheet against Wolves at the weekend. Great little cameo.

    The Title Race - 2023/24

Important next 2 games. Wolves away is a tricky little fixture to get through and then avoiding defeat at the emirates leaves us at least 4 points ahead of Arsenal and in the meantime Liverpool play Spurs & Brighton away in their next 2 games. I think we’ll know a lot more in 2 weeks… Big 2...

    Idiot today.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

Really impressed with him so far - as soon as he picks up the ball 1v1 he gets me to the edge of my seat. Seems to have the fullback on toast more often than not. Though I must say as a player who looks lightening over 5 years he does seem to struggle over 20+! Maybe fitness but we had a few...

    Fulham (H) - Sat 2nd Sept, 15:00 l PL | Pre-Match Thread

Excited to see Doku. This team should be strong enough to beat Fulham.

    Ryan Gravenberch

They signed him for £16m, barely played him, and sold him for £35m. Bayern fans seem fairly happy with the sale which is fairly telling. But the lad is still very young so could come good. He just doesn’t fix their massive glaring hole in DM.

Assessment of our business this summer | Poll Added

Outstanding I would say given the circumstances… We’ve brought in Gvardiol (21), Kovacic (29), Nunes (25) & Doku (21) We’ve lost Gundogan (32), Mahrez (32) & Laporte (29) And because of significant sales from a hugely successful academy set-up we’ve managed the above all for around £50M net...

    Cole Palmer

I think £45m would be fair business for Cole given his experience to date. It’s a fair risk Chelsea would be taking on breaking through. Palmer definitely doesn’t possess the talent of Foden so his ceiling is definitely lower but definitely has talent. Price seems about right for both parties.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

Been really pleased with Kovacic. He definitely has an eye for a pass behind the line for Haaland too.

    The Title Race - 2023/24

Honestly think the biggest impact to Arsenal is that this year they’re in a title race from week one and the pressure of having to win every game weighs heavy. Last year we saw it in the last 10 games and this year it’s straight away. I don’t know if they’ve got the experience to navigate that...

    The Title Race - 2023/24

I feel confident this year on the basis I just thing we’ll be ultra solid at the back (our stats since Pep changes his system to 4 CBs is actually ridiculous) and we score far too many goals not to pick up tons of points if we are barely conceding. I’d be surprised if we didn’t pass the 90pt...

    Matheus Nunes

Squad game.. if Rodri got injured tomorrow we would be very light given he doesn’t want to give KP any minutes.

    Matheus Nunes

Wolves spent €45m on him so you’d expect it to be a good chunk on top to get him.
  14. B

    Jeremy Doku

The great thing about the set-up now is that Haaland occupies both CBs so the wide players get 1 on 1 with the fullbacks all the time now around the edge of the box. See Walker in both games so far this season. I think Doku has been selected specifically for his ability to thrive in that kind of...

    Eberechi Eze

Bizarrely think he looks like he would be great on the right wing… pace to burn, strong in the ball, great cross on him, and obviously knows where the net is. Its a very good highlight reel considering he’s playing in the PL for a mid table side.

    Jeremy Doku

He’s only 21 mind you.. plenty of time to improve and refine his game. He only needs some raw ingredients for Pep to work his magic on.

Match Thread | Man City vs Newcastle (19/08/23)

Kovacic is so solid I think he actually allows Foden to play centrally. Foden is a frantic high risk player and I think Pep has always struggled with that in the middle. I could see this midfield 3 being a stable on over the next few months if injuries don’t get in the way. Very balanced.

    8 | Mateo Kovacic - 2023/24

Looks the business in that 1st half. Him and Rodri looked very comfortable on the ball together.

    Kaoru Mitoma

    We actually can’t afford him

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I see it differently. If after Bellingham we haven’t found the right fit then we have done the right thing to make sure our Plan B is a good fit. Going full throttle in the market and getting it wrong is how you run yourself outside of top 4 in 2-3 years time. I’d sooner see us have a dip of...
