Pesto on Deansgate. Italian with a tapas style. Small dishes, lots of choice, highly recommended. Plus, if it's good enough for Mario..... <a class="postlink" href="http://www.pestorestaurants.co.uk/mario-balotelli-visits-pesto-italian-restaurants-trafford-centre/"...

Your big night, NYE or NYD after the match

Stuck in a country lodge in Tipperary with girlfriends family so it will be a busy night, need plenty of drink to get through. Hope the main hotel reception's wifi is working tomorrow so I can watch the game via one of Shadygiz' links. Happy Blue Year to city fans everywhere. Let's hope this is...

She isn't dead, but today is her birthday! She is probably thinking some things never change: "Scousers in court and Miners not working!"

    The Aviva Stadium

There is no way the FAI or IRFU could have CPO'd the properties around the stadium at the time of the original planning. The Aviva is situated in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 - probably the most expensive and prestigious suburb of Dublin. A 2 acre plot of land round the corner from Landsdowne Road sold...

    Todays friendly international matches

Agree with this. Superb stadium. Treat to see Messi, et al, in the flesh. Ireland really made a good account of themselves and were unlucky not to force the equaliser in the mad scramble at the end. Good crowd as well, 45000. Looking forward to Euro qualifiers now, place will be rockin' (And...

It's here at last. I was starting to get a little worried as I have the flights booked on the Von Ryanair Express from Dublin for the Valencia and Liverpool games. Feels like it's all official now, bring on the season. I just can't wait. Love the packaging, very classy, makes you proud of...

    Who Can't Sleep?

Up since 2am after getting text from Aer Lingus to say my flight has been cancelled due to the ash cloud. Just booked the ferry to Holyhead, and I am on the way. Been bloody nervous since the Villa game, haven't been able to concentrate on anything else but this match. C'mon City!!!!!

    To manchester City Football Club

Actually an exiled Mancunian. Been here 9 years, but the only blue is City blue. I get the impression from my mates (Meathmen!) that Dublin are the GAA equivalent to the rags. (Sorry if you are a Dub!!!) yep i am a dub but we not like rags we kinda know we are crap and just live with the fact...

How are you responding to the rags ?

I got a text earlier from a rag. He told me I can take my 'lucky pants' off now. Told him I was going to keep them on for the FA Cup. Funny, no reply after that - he went all quiet. Rag twat. Proud to be blue tonight, despite the result. The future, and the city, is ours!
