So VAR confirm its a foul, what I dont understand is that if it wasnt a penalty then surely it was denying a goal scoring opportunity and a yellow/red card ......but as far as i could see no punishment to the player for the foul, can anyone explain why ?

Also Douglas Luiz will be missing as he got booked in injury time & as its his 10th yellow of the season he is suspended, so not looking good for villa

tbh I think any young midfielder in that team against quality opposition is going to have problems especially with the way they play out from the back & given the age of a lot of those players. I didnt check the other goals tbf & I dont judge any player on one game especially against ourselves...

check the highlights on the city website & I am pretty sure he was the last man coming out (no 7) for our first goal , playing Alvarez onside & then for the second goal hes the one who runs away from Foden (towards the ref) & leaves a huge space for the pass to Phil for the second goal

Surely the simplest solution would be to copy the rugby rules on time i.e. the ref signals to the official to stop the clock for injuries, time wasting, subs & goals & then signals to restart the game, all the fans can then see that the time is being managed consistently & accurately . This way...

Been today ! if the wind picks up the new 17th hole par 3 will be fun, 1 fourball today had 8 shots at the green & only 1 stayed on there, think its only around 140 yards. Would recommend spending sometime either in the grandstand around the tee or up by the green !!
