He was shot down over Germany during the war and was a POW for 3 years. Even though he is 94 he still flies over to visit us...

Post Match Reaction Thread (Please post in here)

    semi final trouble

This clown 'wadda' has come on this forum for one specific reason, to read all the things in reply to his post. Everyone who has replied has given credence to this. Far better in future just to IGNORE them. Pass no comments at all. Just have a little self satisfaction when reading their posts...

    Tiredness (merged)

Re: Apparently we're really tired I think its Mancini being quite clever. Subconsciously, the opposition think they are up against a team that is fatigued and they go into the game with the attitude that it will be a walk over, their concentration and anticipated stamina needs will be lacking.

    Children of the 1950s

Born in 46 and my dad took me to my first reserve game about 1953. I cant remember who we played, but when ever i went to Main road then it always seemed to be against either West Brom or Wolves. Started going to first team games in 54 and remember getting the 53 bus from Belle Vue and getting...

How far back in time do your City memories go.

April 1955. Going to Lewis's in Manchester with my mother and meeting members of the team who would play against Newcastle in the FA Cup final. Bert Trautman, Dave Ewing, Roy Clarke, Don Revie, Paddy Fagan, Joe Hayes and Jimmy Meadows.

    A Confession

My confession (the worst of all of you ) My father started taking me to Main Road when i was a 9 year old. When i was 11, because in those days you watched City one week and United the next and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about over United, one Saturday we went. This was late 1957, and...
