Last manager who City fans really wanted sacked

Been said loads already but Hughes first and foremost. Wanted him gone before we even got to Xmas that first season. Robinho and Ireland gave us some decent moments at least. Pearce - utterly clueless, it’s a miracle we stayed in the league in 2007. Mpenza was a master stroke. Pellegrini...

    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2023/24

More minutes in those appearances this year too I think for a similar return. I thought he started the season pretty well and also was good during Haaland’s injury. The pair of them have been in poor form since Haaland returned though which is weird.

    Set Pieces

We were top scorers from set pieces 2 or 3 seasons ago if I remember rightly, but the set piece coach moved on after that season.

    Lucas Paquetá

With us being linked to Paqueta still and now Musiala I do wonder the same. Really don’t see where he fits in at the minute, even more so if we make signings (which I think is necessary tbh)

Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Definitely right there. They looked fucked around the hour mark and we were going up through the gears. The subs absolutely saved them in fairness, modric particularly. We would have smashed them if they hadn’t made the change.

Champions League - QF: Real Madrid, SF: Arsenal/Bayern, (H) for 2nd legs

Definitely went below 10k, can’t remember exactly

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2023/24

Grealish as you’ve said and probably Sterling as well.

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2023/24

I thought last night was one of the first games that Pep’s usage of him made sense. I don’t think it works as well with Doku or Grealish on the left, but it clicked with Foden for sure. Gvardiol being so wide and advanced lets the left attacker stay really central and close to Haaland whilst...

Transfer Nightmare After Winning The League

Yes the signings were shit and it was a weird window but we had both FFP and the arrivals of Txiki & Soriano imminent.

    La Liga Thread - 2023/24

Clickbait. RB Leipzig and Salzburg actually played each other in the europa a few seasons ago.

    Pedro Neto

A shame for Laporte because that wasn’t always the case. He was generally lauded on here as the best CB in the league if you go back a few years, and his knee injury the reason for our collapse in the 19-20 season. Maybe he wasn’t the same after that & lost his spot the season after to...

Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

This “rule” where the assistant refuses to put his flag up even when it is an offside is fucking laughable. What is the **** actually there for? To actually then flag whilst stones went down quite literally added insult to injury. Wanker, as was the referee.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

That’s what he needs to be doing to fill the KDB void. Great performance.

Everton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Yeah but the Everton fans started crying about the foul so the ref had to do as he was told.

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2023/24

Even if we used him in the exact same role we did Ake last season (basically a LCB of a three) he would be fine imo.

    Pep Guardiola - 2023/24

Not sure why he couldn’t have swapped the two of them today? During the last 10 we actually had Gvardiol making runs off the shoulder of their RB, with Grealish sat in at LB. Wtf?
