Used to hate flying and got into watching this..the bit at the end where they sum up what caused a crash, and then how that helped them to change planes to make sure it doesn't happen again helped calmed me down and I am pretty confident flyer now (after plenty pre flight pints)

Depends where you're staying. I've never found a City bar (hopefully somebody else has) my fave place to watch football is a place called pancake corner in Leidseplein square loads of TVs, beer, food and you can smoke if that's your thing. Not cheap mind Enjoy your trip
