Liverpool (A) PL - Post Game

Look, we should have been three down at HT, but in general play we improved second half. Gutted that despite their chances, we made mistakes that ultimately cost us. They couldn't handle Doku second half but we couldn't create any proper chances. Not arguing that they deserved the win though...

Feyenoord (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Obviously, there's a confidence issue in there as well - the guys are human - one bad run in nine years. We have to suck it up, get through the season, rebuild. Our monumentally successful coach will get us through this.

There isn't a top side on the planet that would cope with the level of injuries in key positions that we're dealing with - even our stand-ins getting injured. But injuries apart and players losing their main attribute as time and age catches up, one or two other elite players are struggling and...

No-one's saying opinions shouldn't be voiced. Ask the most vocal ten closest fans to me in the east stand for their opinion and you get ten angry and ten different finger-pointing opinions. It's amusing. And there's the 'Get it forward brigade' and the 'Play faster football mob'. Our players...

Unfortunately, we have some some twitchy fans who do not understand Prem football - or how to coach a team and run a club. These fans blurt out a load of opinions in a panic. Thankfully, the club doesn't ask these twitchy fans for advice on coaching and management.........

Eleven games in - the table does not lie. Full strength Arsenal, Newcastle, Arsenal, Villa, Spurs and United are 4th, 8th, 10th and 13th. We are 2nd and can play much better.

Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

We don't practice parking the bus in training and our way of being cautious is to keep the ball in the opposing half. I have no problem with that. It's a miracle that games like recent ones don't happen more often than they do. The great pools financed Liverpool sides of the 70s and 80s used...

Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

I can't believe that any opposition is deliberately getting outplayed by us in the first 45 minutes of every game. Every game - loads of first half chances - second half of every game our performance runs out of gas and the cohesiveness goes. We're having to play players out of position. We're...

Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

We go away to Lisbon with a depleted squad, dominate the game and have more than twice the shots of the home side. We should have been four up, but these freak results happen from time to time. Yes, we looked vulnerable during each of the very few Lisbon attacks - attacks that Rodri either...

So, according to RF, United fans can't wait to see footy like this at the Old Toilet? Really, since when have rag fans been happy to win by having 27 per cent possession at home with less than half the number of shots of the visitors..... Rag fans haven't been happy since AF retired because of...

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I think he was on our radar, but his style is not really akin to Pep's - he's more of a Maureen tactically - low block against the better sides, and we lost interest. We don't do low blocks (not in our chemistry) - no matter how many attacking superstars we have to face.

North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

I'm in the East Stand Level 2 a few yards forward of the corner flag. I get sweaty palms just looking up at the top of the North Stand. Is the seating higher than the South Stand or is it an optical illusion?

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Strange two and a half year contract. If he does well, I can't see him going to RM or Barca, but if we continue doing fantastically well, the best any other Prem club can hope for is to do moderately well. We are about to go through a transitional phase - time doesn't allow our legends to...

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I think Utd have dropped lucky with Amorim. He'd been on our radar for a while and Pep's situation becomes ever more important as a result. He'll be expected to dislodge the Tarquins and scousers pretty quickly. Go on Pep - stay a few more years.

Emotional moment there - seeing him taking the stage for his speech. What a credit the man is to his family, our club and Spain.

    Wolves (A) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Arguably the best header from a City player since Mick McCarthy's bullet header against the rags in 86.
