    Fernandinho - 2016/17 performances

A lot of it is down to how the media portray our players. When Pep informed the incognoscenti of the media how good he was I did think they were finally 'noticing' what we already know. Although the defending was not good, the sheer velocity of that header yesterday was worthy of positive...

New car park rules a farce

Cheers mate I was at the tram station and my instincts told me to try the canal path but we settled for our same route on Wednesday. That it did provide an emergency stop at a bookie's when the Mitchell Arms was in a very deceased state since I last went near it. On the bright side I found the...

New car park rules a farce

Slightly off topic but to do with getting away. Is the canal path the quickest way of getting to Piccadilly station? Difficult to judge from the map, following the pedestrian signs down the New Road seemed to be a long way of doing it. Even half an hour after the finish the tram queue looked...

    Your favourite promotion season?

1999/2000 for me too. The jubilation on the pitch afterwards meeting all the old faces and the journey back with a stream of City cars tooting at all the kerb side well wishers in the towns we passed through. There was a rumour there was to be a celebration at Maine Road with all the players...

Man of the Match - West Ham (h)

Even using numbers and not words the media slight City at every opportunity. If the top City mark was 7 and Silva got 6, I dread to think of the insulting marks the rest of the team must have got. I think it was the Sun that gave either Sterling or Hart (or both) a big fat zero for a Euro...

West Ham - post match thread

Those inch perfect passes were purr-perfect as he just ghosted around the pitch especially in front of the East Stand in the first half.

Correct. It IS about the Hart saga. You seem to have forgotten that when posting at me even where I have said I do not want to get involved. It is only good manners to reply to any post although I keep telling you there is no need for you to reply to mine. I have expressed my opinion on the way...

Ah good that's nice to hear. I am afraid my reaction to your posts was less than nice and caused a visit or two to the bogs in the old Star bar , which is in City Square which as you might have guessed is part of the Etihad complex. Nevertheless a great afternoon in every way and one I...

Ah, the family did not get the 'fighting' nickname for nothing;-) Don't worry I will look after you and I won't show the pic of you to your mates. I hope you still do not stand in the same way, with or without shorts, or we will have to communicate by shouting from a safe distance.

It has always been the case - it has to be. Over 30 years Joe Corrigan was moved on after nearly 500 games because his wages were the highest due to length of service increments and they wanted to reduce the wage bill. But it led to Alex Williams's emergence so I can't complain. City are not...

Did you read my comments or think what I have said or was the steam coming from your ears causing a vision problem? Why do I get the second para lecture when other posters, not me, have mentioned Hart 'being shafted'? Is it because any poster doesn't agree with you automatically is thought to...

Joe Hart (joined Torino on season long loan - Official)

I reckon they media are holding back to see who he does sign for, as that will obviously change their views, present and future, on him. Just imagine as a shock signing him going to the swamp even as back up. He would be elevated to God like status there by the media. Going to Anfield...

Yes but where would football be without emotions? Where would we be if the weather was better? Not all bickering on here I think. Roll on tomorrow.

Ah but he is a 'tough new boss' apparently a virtue for some. I was sad that the 'Dr Eva' matter was settled out of court as the dirty washing did not get properly aired but I think that United might well have put pressure on him to settle and avoid the publicity.

So where will we be gathering tomorrow for the happy clapping. Anywhere near the ground would be an excellent place for me. If you think I have a 'downbeat mentality' atm you have missed a load of relegations, hammerings by the rags and even more recently being beaten in the final by bloody...

It would have caused me great problems about still going. For all I detest everything about that man, my love for City comes first and foremost. He wouldn't have lasted long anyway, certainly not the life time I have invested in City.

I wagged my tail at the light relief from all this barking which if nothing else passes the time on a dull and sometimes wet afternoon. I keep my dog hungry and angry to defend me but she cannot type very well.

We have seen 'football philosophies' recently not a million miles away. I would rather have City warts 'n' all than Bayern Lite or Barca-Lite.

You know nuffink Mr Faulty. And I do not infer it at all, I say it loud and clear as a true blue who has been through everything. My own underlying feeling is that those who are making certain comments would be making exactly the same ones if a certain Senor Mourinho was our manager.
