Puncheon trip on Zaba goes unpunished...

If deemed to be deliberate, it would likely have been classed as violent conduct, as there's no way it was an attempt to win the ball. There's reasoning for a red, especially when looked at in hindsight. Would've been happy with yellow at the time had the lino or ref himself seen it, but with...

Puncheon trip on Zaba goes unpunished...

Not wearing sky blue + not being a high profile player + not playing against local rivals MU next week = no trial by media. MOTD showed nothing, despite the original broadcast dedicating many many replays to the incident, with commentators sure of a red card. Not sure why I'm surprised.

    The Ref last night

Just been told by two rags that it was "120% not a foul by herrera, if anything a foul by fernando." Amazing really. Watch it from the tv view and the refs view, and surely its a foul by herrera, barging into fernando. If fernando fouled him, why would they both fall left, to the side which...

    United post-match thread

Just been told by two rags that it was "120% not a foul, if anything a foul by fernando and therefore a penalty". You couldn't make it up.

City cleared of any wrongdoing in Garre case - no transfer ban expected

Anything to further support the narrative that we don't develop our own youth. Because they can't argue that we are buying the league through the senior squad now that other teams are spending comparable sums, they now turn to bashing the way we're buying up youth talent.

Adds to the narrative, for sure.

    United 2016/17

I feel his explosiveness and directness lends itself to a team crying out for it, in the way nacho's technical ability and awareness lend to a team like ours who play to a system - which united do not, but thays another discussion altogether. The fact they are both such promising young players...

    United 2016/17

As do I, both very promising. Trying to be as impartial as one can be when talking about matters between our team and that lot, I feel Iheanacho is subjectively better at this point in time. If you look past the pace and dribbling, what has Rashford got that's better?

    United 2016/17

I should start recording the conversations, because if nacho continues to flourish, and rashford has a sustained dip in form, there'll be flat out denial that any of it was ever said (or at least said with such conviction). It's like when we got pep, total denial they ever wanted him. Any chance...

    United 2016/17

Just had an argument with a rag mate (i know, is there really such a thing?) who vehemently denies that Iheanacho is not anywhere near as good as Rashford. My argument was that while Rashford is undeniably exciting with obviois strengths in pace, dribbling and unfortunately, finishing...

Pep's Press Conferences - Watford (A) Post Match (Page 129)

The second question he's asked "how much do you hate losing"... You can hear the angles the journos want to take already. Lucky Pep saw right through that and gave them a very diplomatic answer.

    False 9

There's no Bony-type player in a system with a false 9. The out and out target man striker doesn't play, he's instead replaced with a more creative player that sits slightly deeper.

Aguero banned for three games (updated)

    Why would he do that?
