    Jason Manford

Against my better judgement, I found myself watching the variety show on ITV. I never knew Jason Could sing, let alone so well. And what a refreshing performance as compare ( unlike what we usually get with for e.g. tired Tarbucky presenters - I mean Jimmy not Lisa - see Upstart Crow ) Best joke...

20MPH Speed limits to be scrapped?

Is that right that M/cr Council is binning the 20pmh speed limits? The one on Ten Acres lane/ Bank Bridge on the way to the ground is ball-breakingly pointless for e.g.

Talk Talk Broadband router connectivity issue.

My Talk Talk broadband started to deteriorate 24 hours ago and finally crashed last night. Router has a Red light on "power" and Orange on "internet". Talk Talks' help webpages and phone help suggest they are aware of connectivity problems for some customers and red lights on routers and suggest...

    Olympics Brazil v S Africa

Live via BBC Sport App. Nil nil @ half time. Jesus in number 11 shirt looks a robust player not easily knocked off the ball! ( surreal having a commentary where Rags not mentioned every 5 minutes)

    M 6 northbound J 15-16 today

Anyone else get trapped on the M6 closure on the way to the match today? What the fuck was the "police incident" which resulted in a 4 hour closure of all northbound traffic. Missed the whole of the match, and had to listen to Robby Cabbage on the car radio.

Modes of transport you have used which are no longer around

OK To start off: Delph Donkey --- steam train on branch line from Oldham to Delph. Engine faced backwards as forward gears not low enough to get up the incline to Lydgate. Huddersfield Trolleybuses -- watching Denis Law before he was City Star ( he may have played for a couple of other teams...

"We are all in it together" Waterloo, Oldham &The Peterloo Massacre

A good read if you have 10 minutes, with some resonance to recent and current events! http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/history/battle-of-waterloo-was-it-just-an-unpopular-adventure-led-by-an-establishment-hate-figure-10321996.html

Decent Prem Team of players City have let go

Just thinking about players we have let go who if put together might make a decent premiership team. (Still playing) Struggling a bit with mid-field but my guess would be: Pants Richards Dunne Lescott Distin Johnson Ireland NOT Barton the cu*t Barry Beast Mario Sure there are some better...
