can anyone suggest where to stay in rome?

my plan of action is land in germany 16:45 local time sunday... get to hotel for around 18:00 (hopefully) then straight to the christmas markets (closest possible) monday: we have a table booked for 40 people at hoffbrauhouse then maybe go else where after.. tuesday: augustine all day...

So by the sounds of things a lot of places don't allow you to ware colours... You will have that many layers on they won't even notice anyway
