Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

As an FOC I cannot complain too much about some of our key players beconing FOCs themselves. This drop off makes me realise just how awesome Rodders is. The 115 related lack of recruitment is coming home to roost but we will rise again CTID.

Against Spurs or Liverpool? Bit of a baptism against either of those.

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

In a perverted way I would love to watch Pep working in League One with a team of free transfers. I bet he would secretly enjoy it too and success would shut up all those "can only manage with a massive budget" gimps.

The guy who ripped his season ticket in front of the Kippax

She sounds like a decent lass. Are you going to share the rest of your romantic tale? - I take it you are no longer with her?

    Rooney - Plymouth Argyle manager

I think her entire extended family was bankrolled by Shrek but I am sure that she would have been comfortable for life if she had left him. Maybe she just wants to remain in the public eye.

    Greece v England - Thu 14th Nov '24 | UEFA Nations League

Exactly - I was far more engaged with England when City were crap. Not really been that interested since Italia 90. The wankfest of "the golden generation" was nauseating - I would rather watch Carlton Palmer.

    Greece v England - Thu 14th Nov '24 | UEFA Nations League

Does this league have any bearing on qualifying for proper tournaments?

    3 | Ruben Dias - 2024/25

Needs to score some important, iconic goals to assume that mantle.

    Right back options……

Stones is the obvious Rodri replacement but will only play 50% of games. I would like to see Gvardiol tried there but I guess he is needed on the left side of defence if Ake is crocked again. I miss the days when we could take good players off the likes of Arsenal.

Steph Houghton | Given new role at club (p 4)

It's great that the club are keeping talented, intelligent people close to the club. Steph will be a great advocate for the womens team and club in general.

    Liverpool Thread | 2024/25

Rags must feel very sad and irrelevant when dippers are talking them up as Manchester's biggest club.

    David Coote

It was never a penalty so stop talking shite. There were no Everton players anywhere near when it happened but Dias and Ederson were in close attendance. There is absolutely no case that can be made that Rodri deliberately handled, denied Everton a chance or changed the outcome of the game...

    Retro Shirts

https://www.scoredraw.com/clubs/premier-league/manchester-city-fc/967_manchester-city-1990-black-out-retro-shirt.html Is this black shirt just a "fashion" item or was it an official shirt? I cannot remember it but 1990 is a while ago!

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2024/25

I like Jack but he really is not contributing enough to the club in terms of leadership. Maybe he is still a bit intimidated by the likes of KdB but he needs to assume a more vocal role which he seemed to do in his Villa days. He has sensibly withdrawn from the England squad and can hopefully...

    England squad

On a more positive note regarding the England squad Taylor Harwood-Bellis has been called up for the first time. It is always great seeing players who came through the City academy doing well.

    “City in crisis”

I think a big factor is how reliable Rodri has been over the past few years. I am sure City had DM targets who were not followed through with as they were not happy to have a backup role. Obviously signing Kalvin-Philips was a crazy move but maybe part of it was that he was keen to join? If...

I thought Lavia was the one that could have been a starter DM but he seems to be made of glass.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2024/25

I get what you are saying but I think Grealish should be allowed to attack more at times. He can be predictable so maybe the occasional risky attacking move would keep opponents off balance.
