    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2023/24

I’m not sure I agree that he laid it on a plate for Grealish. I thought it was a badly executed pass and he was looking for Bernardo but the defender inexplicably let it run. He did win the ball though and made a good run for foden.

    31 | Ederson - 2023/24

I agree if you mean the best distribution of any player. But there’s no argument if you’re just referring to goalkeepers. He is utterly incredible - can ping 60m passes like he’s rolling the ball a few feet.

    2 | Kyle Walker - 2023/24

I agree he’s the least technically able player in the team but this is arguably the most technically brilliant team there has ever been. More importantly, his pace and power are incredible. I’ve never seen a player with the physicality he has. I’m sure Mbappe and Vinicius would say the same.

Joao Cancelo | On loan at Barcelona

it’s in everyone’s interests to make this happen. He wants to play, we want him off the wage bill and Barca want a high quality player. We’re just waiting to see who blinks first

Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales | Resigns (p 34)

And not content with being a total knob on the night, he then disregards her views and doubles down on playing the victim. Not an ounce of remorse or embarrassment. The whole organisation is a mess looking at the number of people applauding his bollocks speech.

    FA Cup Quarter-Final Draw | Burnley (H)

As they’ve moved the format around so much, i have no idea whether or not the game goes to a replay if we’re level after 90 minutes. Can anyone tell me, please?

I like him but he lost his man for the header near the end

    14 | Aymeric Laporte - 2022/23 Performances

Is Pep having to manage Laporte’s game time? I know we have a lot of defenders and they can’t all play but I am not clear if it’s always rotation rather than because of their condition. Akanji seems to be picked most weeks, either because Pep trusts him the most or he’s the fittest defender on...

    It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I had a friend who was a German journalist and he wanted to interview our growing contingent. I went to training with him and hoped to be star struck. I immediately saw that Frontzeck had come on holiday, making a derisory effort during training. He was jogging whilst everyone else was...

    It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

I broadly agree with you, and reckon Pep feels he needs to keep the squad happy. Look at Sterling, a class player who apparently wanted to leave in part because he wasn’t get enough game time or maybe because he sensed he wasn’t getting the time in the biggest games. More games for Palmer last...

    Josko Gvardiol

And hopefully eclipse them. That’s how the team improves. If the best centre half in the world is available we should try and get him, making one of the existing three the 4th choice. I’ve no idea who that is, mind. And if it was down to me, we’d still have Toure and Silva in the team.

    Nathan Ake

Laporte missed most of a season a couple of years back. if that happened again to one of the three then we would have half a season of scrambling until the transfer window opened.

West Ham - Change to KO time (now 2pm)

No, the Premier League sell the contract and could include clauses about public transport being available, notice for game times etc but prefer to take more cash and give up these controls.

    #7 | Raheem Sterling - 2021/22 Performances

He needs support and help to regain his confidence. He must have had 20 occasions since he last scored when put clean through. You know he will slow down and cut back onto his right foot. His finishing has never been great but right now it’s woeful.

    It's Quiet Thread 15 - Txiki Blinders

I’m surprised that we’re linked with Grealish. He’s extremely talented but a bit individualistic as he slows the game down by holding onto the ball. He reminds me a bit of Nasri and it doesn’t seem very Pep.

    #7 | Raheem Sterling - 2020/21 Performances

I accept I’m not being as clear as I’d like so this will be my last post on the subject. I don’t believe that the specific criticism of his play is racist in content and am sure that most people are criticising in good faith. But I do believe that society is quicker to criticise black people...
