    United Thread | 2024/25

Ten Hag can claim he isn't Harry Potter but he's done a fine job of making £650m disappear.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

Alvarez is average and Atleti were insane to pay so much for him.

I don't expect you to share details, but is he alright?

    The Title Race - 2024/25

I think we'll piss it, this time. Our most comfortable since 17/18.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

To be fair, if Messi was playing in Norway / Austria, he almost certainly would have.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

Bollocks, Messi and Ronaldo were phenomenal. For Haaland to even be in the same conversation as those two is extraordinary.

    The Title Race - 2024/25

I really doubt Liverpool will be all that close. They haven't added anything to the squad, their two best players (Salah and Van Dijk) are 32 and 33, respectively, and their new manager is not as good as their previous manager. They finished 9 points behind us last year and, given the above, I...

When is Pep going to get the recognition he deserves?

He does abroad. It's only the English football media that downplays his achievements/ abilities.

    Ilkay Gundogan - Done Deal

That's fine, I'm just addressing the myth that top players continue at a high level well into their 30s these days, which is blatantly untrue (in the most part).

    Ilkay Gundogan - Done Deal

Yet, of our great players since the takeover: Yaya - finished by the time Pep arrived at the age of 33. David Silva - took a step down to Sociedad at the age of 34. Aguero - was released at the age of 32 (almost 33) with a dodgy knee. Kompany - took semi retirement at Anderlecht at the age...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I imagine the latest vitriol is driven by us achieving some concessions (and damages) in the APT case.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I think it's plainly clear the media is trying to influence the Independent Commission ahead of the hearing. If this was a serious legal case, such behaviour wouldn't be allowed. The whole thing has been handled disgracefully.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

If we don't sign someone soon I fear Richards might have a stroke. Come on, Txiki, for the sake of our favourite transfer forum badger!

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Do you have any figures for the total investment you referenced? Mansour's £1bn into the UK over 16 years is utterly insignificant to the economy at large. Do you have any figures to support your assertion that sport and leisure is one of the economy's fastest growing sectors? Today's GDP data...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The football industry is a tiny fraction of the UK economy. For reference, PL clubs' revenue was c£6bn in 2022/23 - this was c0.25% of UK GDP in 2023 (c£2.3tn). I really doubt senior politicians give much of a toss about Richard Masters.

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2024/25

Laughably poor at this level. A really bizarre signing on many levels

    Kalvin Phillips

He is an awful player at this level and there is a significant and growing body of evidence that suggests he has an appalling attitude and checked out from football when he signed his contract with us. I would give him away for free if it meant we didn't have to pay for his fat arse to reside...

City most valued Premier League Football Brand Again

Can you adjust for inflation and repost? I'd be shocked if the above doesn't represent a decrease in real terms.
