Champions League Final | Useful Information

Yes. I flew with them a few weeks ago. Going out I checked in on the app, which was very easy. Returning, I had to check in at Istanbul airport. Allow a bit of extra time at the airport when flying home. You need to put your baggage through security checks before you can enter the terminal (the...

    2014/15 accounts released - £10.7m profit

No. It means that the percentage of revenue that is spent on wages is lower. In the last figures revenue has increased and the amount spent on wages has fallen. Even though the wage bill is down this doesn't mean that we are paying individual players less - we could have just offloaded more...

    Company car vs allowance

If the car allowance is £350 after tax (car allowances are taxed as salary) then, yes, your break even point is £590 a month to cover the costs

    Mary D's

Sounds like the old one, Phil Coe, was shafted. He says they tried to halve his pay about a week before the season started. He is gutted. Not the way to treat people.

Akbar's on Liverpool Road is a great Indian, though not the quickest place to get to after the game. Bangkok Bar on Princess Street is all right for Thai.

    Company car vs allowance

If your company contributes to the fuel for personal mileage you might be hit for tax on this as a benefit and so you should check the implications. If you take the allowance, you will also be able to claim tax relief on the difference between the rate you are being paid per mile by your...

    Company car vs allowance

I'm not an accountant but my understanding is that you get taxed on a car allowance as if it were salary. This would mean tax of 40% on any earnings including the car allowance at over £42k per year. I don't understand why the tax on the car allowance would be at 20% but on a company car at 40%...

    Plane geek's

Judging by the callsign (Ravenair) I expect that it would have been on a photographic or survey flight. Ravenair is based at Liverpool and has a large fleet of aircraft doing these types of flights.

Last year's bus to West Brom arrived late after breaking down in Fallowfield. Ended up going on a school bus. I think we got into the ground about ten minutes late and missed Aguero's goal. Never again

outpricing and moving longterm season ticket holders

Spot on, though most of the people around me in block 229 say they won't renew at all rather than move to anything further back than the first few rows of the third tier. So to keep these fans the club needs to hope that plenty of fans in level 1 move to the second or third tiers.
