    Cole Palmer

There's a good argument that his game time will be even less at Chelsea when you look at their forward options. Our squad is super light compared to the chavs so it does make you wonder why he'd consider it. Strange one but if we can get £50m I'd snap their hands off.

    Matheus Nunes

I remember watching him against us whilst at Sporting and he had a really strong game against a midfield of Rodri, Bernardo and KDB I believe. There's a player in there definitely. I think people's opinion would be different if we were purchasing him from Sporting and not Wolves. Definitely a...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

He's a proper fence sitter Sam Lee aint he. Think the Dani Alves/Sanchez/CAS stuff has burnt him big time. Probably shouldn't be in the role if we're being honest - he's shit scared of putting his neck on the line with any inside info.

    Cole Palmer

Yeah but he's also covering #10 and RW. Here in lies the issue.

    Cole Palmer

Surely he gives competition to Grelaish on the left though instead of taking Cole's minutes on the right? We have NO ONE who can play LW if Grealish is injured.

    Newcastle United (H) | Sat 19th Aug, 20:00 | Pre-Match Thread

It'll be a slog this. Can see a draw or a very tight 2-1 City win.

    Cole Palmer

IMO Bernardo, Palmer (and Foden when Kev is back) is enough for RW. Doku challenges Grealish which is exactly what we need. He literally has no competition r.e. a winger who can play on the left.

Joao Cancelo | On loan at Barcelona

Take the money and run. He'll be at PSG in 18 months.

    Kyle Walker

Another contract is on the table for him. I think he renews with us and is made captain. I think that links to Pep's comments about the squad deciding who the captain is depending on who is around the week before Burnley.

    Josko Gvardiol

    Perrone's number that. Interesting.

    Jeremy Doku

Seems a pointless one to me based on his age/profile.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Good first half from Phil. His finishing has definitely dropped though from those early seasons. He was pretty ruthless when he got a chance. Seems to drag a lot just wide now.

Kalvin Phillips | On loan at West Ham

Looks completely out his depth. The worrying thing is his whole demeanour looks poor as well - looks like he can’t be arsed. We should flip him. We won’t though, but we definitely should.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Good point. I do think we could be alright for RW with Bernardo, Foden, Bobb and Palmer. It's more the LW where we look mega short - hence Gomez playing there in pre-season. I'd be tempted to dip into the market for an experience LW to really give him some competition.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Does that really make us stronger than sticking with Bobb for example? If we're going into the market surely it should be for a ready made replacement in their prime. Based on how highly the youngsters (Lewis/Mcatee/Bobb) are rated - a signing like Barcola seems pretty pointless to me.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

What makes you think Grealish is an option for midfield when he’s literally played zero minutes there since he joined?

Match Thread | Bayern Munich vs Man City (26/07/23)

They need to sort out Rico, McAtee and Palmer’s squad numbers out. Lower them down into the teens/20s or something it’s driving my OCD wild haha.
