    Cardiff (h) pre-match thread

One of Sterling/Bernardo should've started. Playing Jesus (obviously by force), Mahrez and Foden could lead to issues in attacking coherence. We need an early goal.

Why we will win the league!

I think it's naive to expect that to change though. Regardless, we don't need luck - our quality will hopefully see us through.

    Cardiff (h) pre-match thread

If Aguero isn't fit, Sterling Jesus Sane has to be the front 3. No Mahrez or Bernardo out wide.

Why we will win the league!

They won't drop a single point in their remaining games. It's now up to us to win every single game. If we do, it will be a staggering achievement. And I believe we can.

    Fernandinho - 2018/19 Performances

I think it's the other way round. His supreme passing and technical ability is overlooked by the 'hard work' he puts in. He's one of the best passing central midfielders in world football.

    Liverpool thread 2018/19

To be fair I don't expect us to lose on the 3rd. And yes my use of the word probability was slightly inaccurate so also fair, but the trend is fact (9 times over the last 10 years), not myth. Of course if a side were going to break the trend, it would be this City side (as we also did in 2014).

    Liverpool thread 2018/19

''High probability"- of course we could still overturn a defeat. It would just be less likely, especially in combination with the trend that teams top halfway through the season finish top at the end very often.

    Liverpool thread 2018/19

That was Mahrez's fault though. We weren't in control of the two moments I mentioned. And football players miss penalties every weekend. The handball goal and the Pickford incident were both extremely rare.

    Liverpool thread 2018/19

If they beat us on the 3rd there's a high probability that the race would be over. We have to at least draw that game. It's such a shame that the Wolves handball goal and Pickford's unbelievable blunder have put us in this position.

    David Silva - 2018/19 Performances

He was the best player on the pitch, but I'd be fine with him never taking another freekick for the club.

    Bernardo Silva - 2018/19 performances

In a midfield three with KDB and Bernardo, which of the two would you play deeper? I was wondering whether the emergence of Bernardo in a central role could allow KDB to get forward more than he did last season?

    Fernandinho - 2018/19 Performances

It's honestly astounding that once again this club has refused to cement its dominance. We knew Fernandinho couldn't play twice a week much longer, and that he was frequently exposed by teams in the CL (and Liverpool). A replacement should have been the number 1 priority. It will become a...

    Gabriel Jesus 2018-19 performances

I really do think that double injury has affected his confidence and commitment. People questioning his desire to score goals only need to look at his first few performances for City and Brazil (before the World Cup of course) to see that wasn't always the case.

    Liverpool thread 2018/19

I've never seen such a concerted effort for a team to win the league before. Literally everyone in the media is willing them on, creating an artificial air of positivity. We need to be at our very best to stop them because otherwise, we'd have to hope for a Gerrard slip-esque moment.

    Leroy Sane - 2018/2019 performances

It's not a confidence issue. He has a lack of focus and concentration on the pitch, both signs of an attitude problem.

    Bluemoon PL Fantasy Football League

Is this a general fantasy football thread or just about the bluemoon league?

    Who now then?...

If Sam Lee is right, there's literally no other way to describe this other than 'monumental fuck up'. Time and time again we fail to reach/maintain dominance and stuff like this contributes. It sounds like we haven't worked on any alternatives - a very poor strategy when tied in to the 'City or...

    Riyad Mahrez

Sterling in the false 9 role with his movement while Mahrez is on the ball = terrorises any defence, even if it's just creating more space for Mahrez to cut into. If we do sign him, I'd be expecting at least 15 goals from him, and we don't need an Aguero upgrade this summer anyway. He is the...

    Mahrez or Zaha...choose one

I swear if we sign Bailey instead of Premier League POTY winner Mahrez I'd start having fears of yet another summer after a title where we don't push on.

    Bernardo Silva - 2017/18 performances

One of our best players today, but still needs to influence games a bit more. This time next season he'll be a star.
