    The Squad planning thread

Of course. No hard feelings, ultimately Pep and the management team and the individual players have their own reasons and ultimately the treble and four in a row have been the success. Just difficult when you look across and think those two players would be perfect for us! Life goes on!

    The Squad planning thread

Ah come on, man, obviously it's a counterfactual so I don't have "evidence". But one player was already scoring goals for us and has been the best player in the league this season and the other is probably the best young defensive midfielder in the league while ours is being held together by...

    The Squad planning thread

The strategy of not panic buying has served us well over the years, so I understand why we didn't panic buy a striker in September. What is really painful is that this squad would be improved by adding Roméo Lavia and Cole Palmer. Maybe we wouldn't win the title with them in it, but they'd be...

    The Title Race - 2024/25

If it's not over today it could be if we get turned over at Anfield next week. I'm not one to throw in the towel but it's a season too far for this squad I think. Would have been tricky with a fit squad: a few key players have lost a yard, I don't know what happened to Phil at the start of the...

Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

One season too many. Nothing lasts forever. They've given us a lot. Back and trust Pep. Top four and a cup would be nice.

Match Thread | Man City vs. Spurs (23/11/24)

Stubbornness gives you 6/7 being reactive gives you 3/7 (at best). It is what it is.

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I would die for this man. Fucking love it.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I do get the sense that the club are more confident about 115 now than they were when they started, and that the confidence to start wasn't bravado and showmanship. I do expect the Pep stuff is at the very least refracting some of that confidence.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Players denying stories feels par for the course and I thought the CAS stuff was perfectly acceptable reporting. Must admit the train stuff is beyond me and no one is getting me up to date. Like I say, I reckon some criticism is fair and loads of it is unfair. I don't think he's inventing stuff...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Someone is going to have to get me up to speed on the acting hard on a train thing because that sounds hilarious.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I know he gets a lot of stick on here, fair and unfair, but he's obviously well-connected and doesn't shit stir like some gossip journos. For him to even mention it feels really significant imo. It's a very positive sign.

Together: Four in a Row | Coming to City+ on November 20th

Anyone know how the staff member who had cancer that Pep was upset about is doing?

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

On the latest episode of Let Me Talk Sam Lee said that he'd heard the club were super confident that one block of charges was basically dead on arrival. Any more rumours or noise about that?

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Give the fucker £75m in January and another £150m in the summer and a rolling contract for as long as he wants or needs it.

    Future of football

Yeah, I know all that. Meta also went all in on the "metaverse" which currently seems to have collapsed even with Trump's backing and crypto-bros making some money out of it. The VR stuff is an outpost of that. It's not and won't be getting mass adoption for the same reason 3D TVs weren't the...

    Future of football

But I don't think price is what is holding back mass adoption. It's been affordable, as affordable as 4k TVs, for a decade. I also think from the football perspective a fixed view that requires you to sit with a bit of tech strapped to your face and which you need to move your head to follow...
