Jayden Braaf joins Borussia Dortmund on a permanent deal

Chelsea fan. When he was rumoured to be joining us the understanding was that he would sign on 31st August because that is his 16th birthday. It also happens to be the last day of the general, i.e. non Premier League, transfer window.

    MCFC U-18's

Well, speaking as a Chelsea fan, I've enjoyed the recent end-of-season Youth Cup showdowns between our two clubs, so I'm disappointed that you're out. I suppose we can hope for an U18 title play off between the clubs instead. That is far from certain however. While we tend to play strong sides...

    How rubbish are international breaks?

I hate these breaks too but we have only ourselves to blame for the fact that Blatter's power grabbing scheme remains in place. The obvious solution to these blights on the football season is to scrap them, allow the domestic season to run uninterrupted and therefore be completed in a shorter...

Loan watch and ex city players watch

Thanks for the reply. I've a feeling every top club in Europe will be making a pitch for Dembele when he reaches 16. It would be nice to think he would take his time and complete his development with The Bhoys, but I don't know if the lad and his family will be able to resist the exotic...

Loan watch and ex city players watch

Chelsea fan. How excited are you about the younger Dembele? What a player he looks. City have two outstanding youth talents (that I'm aware of) and there are some excellent players in our youth ranks too but, wow, that kid is amazing.

    PL2 City v Chelsea - 11th August - ko 1905

I agree with you. For me, going on loan on graduating from U18 level is the footballing equivalent of going off to university like so many other 18 year olds around the world do at that stage of their development.

    PL2 City v Chelsea - 11th August - ko 1905

Hello All, Chelsea fan. The academy system breaks down at this level. In theory, these sides are the modern equivalent of reserve teams, but in truth they are the reserve reserves at best. At all the leading clubs, the better players of development age are syphoned off into the loan system...

    Cengiz Under

Rumours do the rounds and this lad has been has been linked with Chelsea so I watched some videos. He looks decidedly average to me.

    Alex Sandro

Feared you'd say that. He'd be a big upgrade for them. Don't get me wrong, I really like James Milner. I love his no fuss, just get on with the job, type of game. I think he's a lot more effective than he is often given credit for, but he's not a left back of title winning calibre.

    Alex Sandro

Ghoulam too? I'm all for the raising of the quality around the league but this is getting ridiculous now. Who is Ghoulam being linked to?

    Alex Sandro

Yep, really agree with you. Can't wait.

Daily Fail headline - Dani Alves didn't know Manchester City existed in 2009

Well different perspectives I suppose. Maybe we see things too much through glasses of our own shades of blue. Perhaps it would take the views of fans of other clubs to get a more objective take, so let's not argue. I do though have a different take on some of the examples you cite. Apologies if...

IF City ever win the Champions league?

Firstly, let me make clear that I'm a Chelsea supporter so it wouldn't be right to label City fans on the basis of something I said. Not that it would be right to label Chelsea fans because of it either mind. :) Secondly, I didn't create that post in order to diminish Liverpool's achievements...

Daily Fail headline - Dani Alves didn't know Manchester City existed in 2009

Brilliant post. Thank you. The european-football-statistics link you gave is the one I had in mind when I offered to give anyone who wanted it a link to the raw, club by club, data. The date was indeed chosen to coincide with Roman's take-over. It was a counter to the oft repeated charge about...

IF City ever win the Champions league?

How many games? :) I couldn't agree with you more about the league. Back in 2012 I was posting, on Chelsea fan sites, to say that I would have gladly given up the two trophies we won that year, for the one you took home. I couldn't disagree with you more however about the comparison between the...

Daily Fail headline - Dani Alves didn't know Manchester City existed in 2009

In random order: - Cool to hate City? Chelsea are 'above' City in every poll of I've ever seen of England's most hated club. In the most recent poll I saw, you don't even make the top three, while we are top. Has the head of the world game ever called your club the enemies of football? Have...

Daily Fail headline - Dani Alves didn't know Manchester City existed in 2009

Hello All, Chelsea fan There's something I want to say about Danny Alves in a moment, but first I'd like to respond to this comment if I may. From a Chelsea fan perspective, City have been given a far easier ride after your takeover, than Chelsea have been following ours. Our view on this is...
