These Final Hours 2014 - World is about to end so guy sets off for a party. Sounds like a comedy but in actual fact is quite a poignant,sweet Aussie film that might just bring a tear or two to your cynical eye.......

Definitely a quirky film - but yeah,could have done with a good 15 mins shaved off.....

Harmless, fun - If you ever have the time would recommend Giles Miltons '' Churchills Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" - great book which tells how a bunch of oddballs, upper class twits and psychos all got together.......

Added bonus is she's English putting on pretty passable American accent.......

The Bikeriders (2024) About a motorcycle gang in the mid 60's /70's.Not a great deal happens, lots of inane conversations, some fights and repeat......... Possibly worth watching for Tom Hardy and Jodie Comer putting on a couple of excruciatingly bad American accents............

What You Wish For (2023) - Thriller/horror. Chap assumes a friends identity whilst in another country and soon finds himself deep in trouble. Quirky one this, made a change from the usual stuff.......

Third Lanark - on BBC Iplayer. About the team in Glasgow that went bust in the mid 60's due to the greed of a dodgy owner. Interesting and sad football story..........

I'm sure Herbert is the guy who persists in printing articles in the Mail telling everyone we have ruined football with our money whilst keeping very quiet about his beloved Wrexham who have been bought out by multi millionaires and totally blown away everyone else in the lower 2 divisions...

The Garfield Movie - Anyone dreading taking offspring to this, don't worry - plenty of 'Dad jokes' to keep you amused. I actually stayed awake which is a minor miracle for a kids film........

The Ghost Writer 2010 - good cast this - Ewan Mcgregor, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Catterall and Tom Wilkinson. Political thriller, but not too heavy about an ex Prime Minister with possible hidden secrets - Brosnan does a good sleazy politician.......

Nice to see a war film with the Germans being slaughtered by the British and not the Yanks for a change. Give the book a read, fascinating to see the SOE formed by people who were either mildly eccentric, amusingly bonkers or totally psychotic.........
