    Lucas Paquetá

When I think of the new players City will have in the summer, I can’t help but come back to Paqueta time and time again as the one I feel is certain to arrive. The others linked with, I feel there is still much negotiating to do.

    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2023/24

I think there is a term for this “punching above our weight.” Well done Pep how do you do it with such a rag and bone team? ;)

    Ollie Watkins

Surprised to see him in our transfer thread! He isn’t better than Haaland or Alvarez and if we were looking to replace either he wouldn’t be in the minds of Txiki or Pep.

    Jamal Musiala

Think Pep will try 3 at the back and go with a double pivot. 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 Plenty of room for Midfielders, and Pep likes a midfielder. Plus at least one will leave, maybe 2.

Is Rodri better than Yaya ?

Your are probably correct, glad you said that, swap out Dias for Bernardo. No team is getting the ball off that midfield! Haaland and Aguero would each get hat tricks being fed the ball from that midfield.

Is Rodri better than Yaya ?

I am making room for both and a few other half decent midfielders we have /had In last 8 years In this team. With only 2 CB’s reckon we would still win against any team with this lineup. GK - Hart CB - Kompany CB - Dias M - Fernandinho M - Rodri M - Y Toure M - D Silva M - KDB M - Foden CF -...

You would think these teams were playing for a winner in the last 5 mins! Chaotic out there.

    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2023/24

Go again with the next experiment? So who might that be? Since Alvarez is only worth £35/40m in your opinion who is this Worldie (our level) striker you think we should buy to play 2nd fiddle to Haaland?

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

Any chances he gets to play from now until season end he needs to deliver whether that be goals, assists, performance or defensively really good because City will buy at least another midfielder in summer.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

Good game from Jezza and I know he likes to shimmy when he tries to beat the full back, but please don’t shimmy when defending when a simple pass back will do fine. Had me worried a couple of times defensively. Going forward very encouraging.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Currently the go to man in the team. Just give him the ball ⚽️ ! Enough said.

Fair play to him had a very good night. Previously looked disinterested playing on the right but tonight looked excellent.

    Jamal Musiala

The fact Pep was in for Bellingham , I think Musiala is seen as the German equivalent of Bellingham. So would not be at all surprised to see further links between City and Musiala. If Bayern sense Musiala is looking for a new club, this summer would be best time to sell to get maximum amount...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

You are so invested in Josko that you are over reading into what people say about him and where Pep is currently playing him. Those who criticise him probably think he is a left back, and judge him by that, when you and I know he is a CB just fulfilling a role the manager has asked him to do...

    Players who might improve us

This is the crux of the dilemma for me. I’m not sure if he is either. RB say’s defender to me and RW say’s forward for me. Maybe he is something in between a midfielder and we are stacked there with quality. Either way are there better RW’s and better RB’s, and I tend to think there are. He...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I’m guessing Mendes is thinking £58m + Bernardo = €120m buyout clause of Joao Neves then will want £80m for crock Pedro Neto. I prefer Mendes to come up with a plan of how to get £40m out of Barca for Cancelo.Instead of standing back allowing his clients Cancelo and Barca to insult our club.

    Florian Wirtz

I don’t see Bernardo leaving for PSG. He wants to return to Benfica one day and he has 2 years left on his contract from this summer with City. If he goes to PSG he would be signing a minimum 3 year contract and is potentially prolonging his return to Benfica. Plus why go to PSG when he can win...
