    Next Captain

It’s gotta be KDB. He’s got that bit of attitude needed.

    John Stones - 2017/18 performances

Left out of the squad last night? Injured? Or was this a blatant message from Guardiola to get his act together?

    Gabriel Jesus - 2017/18 performances

    Scored another tap in today.

    Napoli (h) pre-match thread

Quiet looking forward to this. Taking care of the biz in the league has made the CL more interesting for me this season than years past. Closing off most league games early (as city should be doing) makes games like Napoli the real test of our quality. Just hoping the fans in attendance can...

    Leroy Sane - 2017/18 performances

In the FIFA player ratings video on the OS, he has a nice crack at Raheem...they tell Sane Walker wants a 100m race against him and Sterling. He says he can beat Walker. They ask him about Sterling. He says "Rash? His legs are too short." Totally straight faced. Made me laugh. He's got an...

    Chelsea (a) pre-match thread

Did not see any comment on this on the past few pages, but we have slight advantage with scheduling here. Chelsea has difficult/physical match in Madrid today, whilst our legs are already on the mend.

    Eliaquim Mangala - 2017/18 performances

Very nice pass to set up KDB for the 4th. Nicolas Wheels was difficult to watch against Salah, and if Mangala can duplicate that sort of passing on a regular basis, I'd much rather see him against the speedy wingers than Wheels.

    David Silva - 2017/18 performances

He wasn't quite right today. Either the haircut is bothering him, or he is actually concerned/threatened by the younger version of himself waiting in the wings....

    Danilo - 2017/18 performances

Also - left footed shot that he almost scored... Looking forward to his start next game on his preferred side of the field.

    It's Quiet - a new dawn

Too many cooks... I understand the need to be stocked all over the pitch, but it seems a bit absurd we'd have ~£180m of recently spent money on the bench + Aguero. Although I do agree with the sentiment Aguero will see less playing time with the arrival of Alexis, I could see Aguero forcing a...

    Virgil van Dijk

Might just be me, but I feel pretty certain the Maffeo will be the #2 RB going forward. My assumption of the January loan was to get him consistent gametime experience for next season. He was great in his few appearances for the first team last season.

    Jason Denayer brawl recording

I'm with you. I can't understand some folks looking at that video and not considering the circumstances. The blows that guy are giving to his friend are seriously massive and the instinctive thing to do for most people is to use the most significant force necessary to protect their own - for a...

    Raheem Sterling - 2016/17 performances

He's won a lot of penalties this season indeed. And I for one definitely count those as assists and a chance created. I'll stick by the 10 goals, 21 assists stat line because I think he created 21 goals (direct assist, deflected assist, penalties won). There were probably 3 or 4 more penalty...
