    Everton (H) - Thu 26th Dec '24, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

This may be a way of Pep being able to change things up a little with the players we have. It will give opposition managers food for thought!

That’s actually a great idea and probably our best way to getting a positive result.

This! Probably going to be a very frustrating and boring game to watch.

    “City in crisis”

Not without a completely new style of play. Unfortunately I don’t think Pep has an answer with the players we have. I predict a continuation of our poor form, more injuries and Haaland having to come deeper just to get a touch of the ball.

Injuries 2024/25 | Dias ruled out for a month

Anyone going Saturday bring your Beckenbaurs, you might be needed.

And there lies a big problem. They need minutes at the high level to prove themselves. Trouble is we been such a successful level do you sacrifice cups and titles to risk bringing one or two young players. Difficult to believe Rogers didn't show some potential while he was at City.

Injuries 2024/25 | Dias ruled out for a month

No wonder the confidence and swag we had has disappeared. The players are mentally and physically knackered. No other choice but we have to stick together players, manager and fans to get through this. Come on you blue boys!

Injuries 2024/25 | Dias ruled out for a month

Ridiculous that we have this apparently great academy and hardly any of them are good enough to step up into the first team.

At this rate that 10-12 points we need is looking more and more challenging! Bloody hell, poor Pep. This small squad is coming back to bite us big time!

    Doku song

Jeremy Doku, he plays in blue, He loves to play out wide, Sometimes you'll see him go forward, But mostly he goes back and side.

    Micah Richards the pundit

I agree, Not his biggest fan but no one can deny he backed us in that clip.

If the rot continues what happens ?

I reckon we need 3 more wins and a couple of draws, that should see us safe for another year!

    Micah Richards the pundit

Got to give to him. He's earning a fortune for just sitting acting like a buffoon.

If the rot continues what happens ?

If it continues obviously we'll slip out of contention for 4th. We need to buck up up and get some positive results going if we're going to compete with the likes of spurs, Newcastle and Villa. Right now though they are playing far better than us.

    Holding of Haaland

Hoylunds holding of Haaland at corners is a free kick anywhere else on the pitch. It was beyond ridiculous and he didn't even get warned after the first time. He completely prevented him from getting to the ball. The law needs to change.

    A Bit of Positive Thinking...

Being realistic we need to keep an eye on Spurs, Newcastle and Villa every week from now on. The battle for 4th will be fierce. I'm hoping the rags and dippers beat Spurs.
