Barca v City Post Match Thread

Sorry lads, I'm Pep and Barca supporter and my words could be harsh. It was painful. Even without Bravo's blunder too many mistakes, Kola set up first goal. And then Messi decided. Pep took 9 goals in 3 games vs Barca. And it's not the end, I'm afraid spanking will continue at Ethihad. City...

Barcelona vs City - pre-match thread

So Zaba and Kola in the squad. And surprise - absence of center forward. Pep is going for a tie.

    Premier league games 15/16/17th October

I heard this game got kind of an audience record in UK. Jeez.

But the bottleneck is players. What brand of the shoes? Looks nice. In my opinion Pep gave rest to Zaba and Kola deliberately, so I would be really surprised if City going to play 3 center backs. But maybe Oto-Stones-Kola and then transforms if needed. What I expect at least one surprise from...

Barcelona vs City - pre-match thread

It depends. When Barca met Pep's Bayern they gave the ball and pocession was less than 50%. I think press from Barca would be variative and periodic. But they able defend deep with 8 players behind ball line. If needed. PS Some stats: #Since losing 2-1 to Rubin Kazan in October 2009, Barca are...

    Premier league games 15/16/17th October

Zzzzz. Typical Mour's game - destroying everything, still zero in positional play. Pool surprisingly wasn't so aggressive. Return two hours of my life!

    Should be easy for Pool.

Just to add another dimension. Madrid was better after Busquets has been substituted and Messi got injured: both happened around 60th minutes. Still could only score a cheap goal, Barca should blame themselves for missing a win. And just Iniesta + experimental midfield and stupid tactic in the...

    City v Everton post match

Suddenly Pep founds its very hard. Kuman completely overplayed Pep. Sometimes it reminded me Barca vs Di Matteo Chelsea semifinal, when Messi also missed penalty. And typical Barca/Pep opponent - one moment, one shot, one goal. While opponents keeper doing best game in his life. I saw it like...

Kevin De Bruyne - 2016/17 performances

If given greenlight, i hope he will start game with Everton on the bench. No need to rush these things.

    Predict your top 4

I hope City will win title. From September it's a no brainer to put Spurs, Pool and Arsenal for other spots, but season is long and tough. Spurs short on bench and plays in LC, it will hurt in the spring. Pool could survive. I would put Chelsea/MU instead of Spurs. Both could have a strong finish.

    Ilkay Gundogan - 2016/17 Performances

I would say he is far from his best, still a little bit rusty. Needs time. New country, new club, recovery after serious injury. I'm sure he will imrpove step by step.

    La Liga 2016/2017

Midweek has been hard almost for all favorites: Barca, Dortmund, City lost; Real, Bayern also dropped points.

    Spurs vs City post match

I would say any team suffers badly under high, intensive, agressive pressing. Plus referee gave green light to play hard.

    Spurs vs City post match

No offence but who could beat today Spurs at their home ground, comfortably, with clean shit and 3 goals difference? I doubt any team in the world at this particular day. Be patient. I might add that even with a good gameplay and 100% ready best players in the squad Pep still could lose. Like...

Completely agree. You can't win everything.

    Spurs vs City post match

Should be. While I understand fans frustration look at the bright side, City didn't lose to Stoke, whatever. Spurs one of the best teams in Europe at the home ground. Along with Liverpool. Team did fantastic 10 wins strike. Had plenty of chances in the end. It's still only two month under Pep...

Anyone have stats about covered distance?

    Spurs vs City post match

Yep, couldn't put it better. Even Pep-team (Barca under Pep) probably wouldn't win today. City would have need superb performance, one touch passing to go through pressing and to be clinical with chances. Not happened. Like I said before it was 4th away game in a row, it's very hard...

    Spurs vs City post match

For neutral spectator I may say it was a great game. At last quality in PL. Nothing to worry about at this stage of the season. Games with weaker teams will decide title.
