You are right. City’s fall, rise and upcoming fall is indeed interesting. As they say, “May you live in interesting times.”

Exactly. I was hoping for a basketball game. You can with a plan to suffocate us. You won so well done. But it was dull. And it lacked any joy. You could have won with a bit more style or panache. As is well documented here 4-3 would have been fun.

Well. If that goal had been ruled out and it ended 0-0, would you be crowing about the performance? Maybe you would? I thought you were very dull. Suffocating the game. The triumph of the system over the individual. The result matters more than the journey. Maybe that City’s culture. It felt q...

Exactly my point, you had full control of the game and you didn’t do anything with it (other than a set piece goal). No entertainment, just a plan to get the results and fuck off back north. I thought you were supposed to be world champions. It felt like I was like watching Sheffield Utd. In...

Dull. Dull game. Dull atmosphere. Dull goal. Are these the two most entertaining sides in the country? Well at least we can concentrate on winning the league.

But he was a bit shit when we played you at your place?

I don’t see the problem in thinking we will win. By your own admission it is possible. How is thinking we are going to win a home tie getting ahead of myself? Haha. I am delighted that you think that I could write professionally. I am horribly dyslexic and can hardly put a sentence together...

You are going to score 3 unless you are your usual incompetent selves at our place. We have our reserve goalkeeper and we our tactics are to effectively play only two at the back. You have a chance. Your problem is I think we will score 4.

Will Haaland play? I want to see how good (or not) he is. I always feel that you can't tell with forward players until you have seen them live. You don't fully get it with Kane until you have seen him live. Same was true of Henry, Rooney, Klinsmann, etc.

It was deeply regrettable. I hope that element of our support has significantly diminished.

Amen to that. And whatever you say - I will always believe Ricky's goal was better.

You're right, we aren't mates. In football or outside. Your ludicrous and rather entitled statement shows me that. I am looking forward to the game with much optimism and no fear but mostly with the expectation that it will be great entertainment. You can keep your anger, arrogance and...

We (Spurs) are going to win 5-4. You will have an equaliser chalked off by VAR in the 95 minute. You know it is true. Cant wait. Friday night. Under lights. Full stadium. Neither side has anything to lose.

It will be the game of the season. Both sides will have some of their players back. No fear or pressure. Both teams going for it. You can mock our stadium all you want but a night game with a big away support will be fucking amazing. No idea who will win but it will be great whatever happens...

From an entirely selfish Spurs perspective, yes. I accept there may be a wider argument that the Premier League brand may be damaged by relegating one of their main attractions. I am not sure how I provide evidence of a hope - other than to demonstrate tgat I am a slightly bored, hate filled...

Noted - re Premier League. You suggest my arguments are unreasoned. For the avoidance of doubt, here they are I don't know the specifics of City's case. However, the charges seem to suggest that City acted deliberately and dishonestly to mislead the Premier League to gain an advantage. And...

    Spurs Thread - 2023/24

City and Chelsea being fucked by FFP is not our only hope of success. But it is helpful. I simply do not accept that supporting FFP has not been in Spurs best interests. We have improved massively both on and off the field since 2009. And the fact that FFP will rain down shit on some of our...

    Spurs Thread - 2023/24

If we can fuck up City, Chelsea, Barca, and PSG with FFP then we could have the 5th highest FFP ceiling in the World.
