Embarrassing given money we spend. How many on that team have we actually bought in? Least rags lost too.

    City under 9's

Checked this out with mate and it's true. United notoriously slack at structure and formation in lower age groups which probably helps. Under 10s we won one game, lost one, under elevens same, under 12s we lost 5-2, 13s we won 3-0, 14s we drew 2-2 so not much in it all round as you would expect...

    Jadon Sancho

Buy him for Watford couple of years ago for few hundred grand, sell him on for ten million a few years later. Good business. Since when was our academy supposed to produce first team players?

MEN - United have "embarrassed" City over academy graduates

Wish people would stop referring to Kelechi as coming through our academy. He Came to the club after his 18th birthday so hardly counts as homegrown talent.

MEN - United have "embarrassed" City over academy graduates

To play in our first team at 18-21 you would have to be in the best 5-10 players in your position in the world. Given the pressure top Managers are under how can they blood a kid with zero experience in our first team? You're not seriously suggesting some of our under 16s will be playing in the...

Two Year Academy Transfer Ban Imposed On City

Agree with some of that. There are more under 25s currently playing in the premier league who spent their high school years at Premier league clubs than those who spent their high school years at football league clubs. For that reason alone you are better playing at a top level club. We offer a...

Two Year Academy Transfer Ban Imposed On City

We can't sign 'juniors' from abroad at any age unless those juniors are young men above the age of 16.

Two Year Academy Transfer Ban Imposed On City

Am pretty sure when you look at our youth team more players will play professional football from that group than Oldhams as a comparison. Our players play against the cream of world football in their age group and can be seen playing throughout the league's. I'm not sure Oldham could boast...

Two Year Academy Transfer Ban Imposed On City

For telling the truth and suggesting there'd currently no pathway into first team. Like I'm on my own with that accusation!

Two Year Academy Transfer Ban Imposed On City

It's the worst kept secret in youth football! As I said we have over ten players taken from other cat one academies in north west at younger ages. I'm not aware of Liverpool having one, it's a fact United don't have one. Everton I'm not sure. It was only a matter of time before we got caught out.

Two Year Academy Transfer Ban Imposed On City

Though I would like to believe that Well can you name another north west club that have pinched as many young players as we have?

Two Year Academy Transfer Ban Imposed On City

Clearly some of you guys don't understand academy football. You can't sign players from outside the UK till they reach u17 level. With Brexit this might change further. I'm amazed it's taken this long. In every single age group we have 4 or 5 lads 'stolen' from other clubs. Just in under...

Arijanet Muric | Joins Burnley on a permanent deal

Looks decent to me despite the odd mistake. Certainly has more presence than keeper who lost us final last year. Was exposed by shocking defence unfortunately.

Match Thread - Chelsea V City (2nd leg FA Youth Cup)

Isn't average height of premier league player around 6ft? We were poor and naive last night. Questions should rightly be asked as given investment at this level that was embarrassing.

PL to investigate City's academy transfers

Asked a lad I know whose sons at academy and he reckons all clubs are at it. Says it's gonna be harder to move from Cat 1 to Cat 1 now given premier league interest but says our younger ages have plenty of lads who we have bought from other Cat 1 clubs. He said there are 4 or 5 lads in under ten...

City vs United: Manchester's Cold War (23/02 1930hrs BBC Radio 5)

Makes me laugh all this focus on our private education offer. Lads only go in school 4 mornings a week, one full day with very few going on to take a full compliment of GCSEs even. Still reckon they would do better than most comprehensives as footballers aren't the brightest lads generally...
