Ronaldo to City now back down to 1/2. United now the shortest they've been at 2/1. Don't know whether that's because of the Rio tweet or because the betting companies know something.
A lot of respect for this. Hopefully Villa invest the money wisely (JWP, Bailey, Cantwell etc) and you keep pushing for those European places. At least you're selling Grealish in a position of strength, we had to sell SWP to keep our club alive.
I feel like that's an offer Villa may want to accept. They'll position themselves now as 'it's Jack's decision' to protect themselves. Now it's all about the move being managed correctly from Grealish's perspective. An exit interview with Villa's media team would be ideal for him.
Excited by...
I think we'll sign Kane but not Grealish, feel like Grealish will be tempted to stay at Villa. Kane needs the move now. Excited to see more of Palmer in the team next year.
Used Huel for my breakfast for over a year now. Feel good for it to be honest. The convenience coupled with nutritional benefit. Wouldn't class it as a diet drink though, its 400 calories per drink I think.
It would be a great signing but his position is not the priority and I suspect it would be a club record fee, so I think we should prioritise other positions first.
I believe it was mentioned a few weeks back when Athletico ended his contract and the media talked about cover for city in that position, the city beat journalists shot the rumour down then and I think they're doing it now to oppose lazy deadline day journalism
Due a win at Spurs and the motivation should be there with Liverpool facing Leicester. It's a big weekend to make progress in the league. Games like this will define if we're in contention for the title this year.
I think it's the right decision to wait till next year to sign a striker. No obvious class striker who can play to our level was available and we're not a panic-buying club.
A lot of people haven't warmed to Mahrez because of that penalty miss. One of our top 3 players last year. Wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to move after being left out of the starting line up in the UCL 1/4 final.
I think the statement will be that his desire is to leave but it's hard in the current circumstances and then city will put in a bid and test the waters.
Surely if you don't turn up to training the your decision has been made, I don't understand how you can U-turn from that without embarrassing yourself. Pretty positive this will move forward now.
Never say never, it's funny how support can drastically alter over a short space of time. We'll never take the hard legal approach and most journalists are quick to ensure that they leave no ground for hard legal repercussions anyway. Take for example the selective reporting on the CAS award...
Totally agree, in fact that bit was obvious in my own head but you're right to call it out, long-term success will be a deciding factor in our campaign to change media reporting on the club.
