    Each Manager's Worst Signing

Fair play - this is subjective after all - for me Balotelli was a huge distraction/problem disrupting our entire squad - his occasional on the field brilliance did not at all compensate for his downsides. Again subjective - Balo - did some good - but did far more damage - and thus was the worse...

    Each Manager's Worst Signing

And yet Maicon and Sinclair did nothing to disrupt the team. Suppose you were forced to pick one of Maicon, Sinclair or Balotelli to join our squad next season - and let's say that each of them were at least as good as their form when originally signed - I'd for sure pick Maicon - possibly an...

    Confederations Cup 2017 Final (sunday)page 75

The under-xxx whatever cups are generally fun to watch - unfortunately, no one seems to field their best squad - not taking it seriously enough and domestic clubs unwilling to release their young talent. Definitely fun to watch - and can hopefully spot some unpolished/unknown jewels - but for...

    Ronaldo To Leave Real Madrid?

Great player - way too old for a massive spend though IMO even if he were to leave RM - which I doubt.

    Confederations Cup 2017 Final (sunday)page 75

Yup - definitely worth watching - almost every side in the competition hugely values this cup, placing it only behind the World Cup in terms of international competition. Still, we have Germany not fielding their best squad - and France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Argentina, Brazil all absent. I...

    Ronaldo To Leave Real Madrid?

Color me cynical... I very much doubt that Ronaldo is anywhere else than RM come start of next season.

City at forefront of trying to end even split of £3bn foreign TV rights.

I've mixed feelings about this. ============ Grant revenue to each club based on support - this definitely hurts the league as a whole; top clubs will remain fixed, newly promoted clubs will face even more problems to stay up. Spread revenue evenly among clubs - upcoming/newly promoted clubs...

Willy Caballero leaves. Thank you Willy and good luck.

Thanks Willy - you've been a loyal servant to the club and great in goal when called upon.

    Each managers best signing

Hughes - Tevez Bobby - Silva Pellers - KdB (probably was a Pep pick though) Pep - Jesus

    Kylian Mbappe

Because he isn't stupid. There's massive competition for a starting spot in RM - politics play a huge factor. Unless he comes in as a "galactico" - he's not going to start regularly.

Sterling to make Grenfell Tower donation

But there's two other possibilities: 1) You genuinely feel sorry, and post - hey "I'm so sad" and "I'm contributing xxx"; 2) You know for sure that posting the fact that you're contributing will influence others - but maybe your hope is that it will convince/shame others into contributing...

    Girona FC (partnership)

Our strongest feeder club is Arsenal, IMO, especially once we sign Sanchez :-)

    Each Manager's Worst Signing

Can't strongly disagree :-). In Mancini's defense though - I don't think he wanted any of those crappy last minute signings - he wanted Tiago Silva and Ibra.

    Each Manager's Worst Signing

True - but if not for Balotelli's season long antics, maybe we'd have won enough points not needing to win our final season game. Kudos to Mancini for reaching out to a broken soul - but Balotelli let Mancini down big time. God knows why we signed Sinclair - Mancini didn't want him - but...

    Each Manager's Worst Signing

Right you are! ... Under Mancini then... reluctantly, Balotelli. Huge talent - emotional train-wreck. Btw - do you mean "Jo" under Hughes?

    Each Manager's Worst Signing

The companion thread to the excellent "best signings" thread. This is just for fun - please don't get into heated arguments :-) ======== I became a City fan in 2009 or so after Hughes left... so here's my list from that time frame: Mancini - Balotelli (was Jo until I was informed that Mancini...

    Confederations Cup 2017 Final (sunday)page 75

Kind of an underwhelming set of squads - would really have liked to see Germany fielding their best side with France and Brazil in the mix. Still, I'll be watching the competition - best football going on atm.

    Gianluigi Donnarumma

He already has a more than generous offer from Milan in terms of salary from the club he loves best - it's the way too high transfer fee that's in the way. Raiola is rightly stepping in and nixing the deal - but it'll get done, IMO, eventually.

    Gianluigi Donnarumma

This is likely just Raiola at work to get Milan to drop their buyout clause to 40ML, instead of 100ML in their new deal. For me Donnarumma ends up at Milan with a transfer fee of less than 100ML in his new deal (50-60ML?).

    Kylian Mbappe

I think we're very much a dark horse to sign Mbappe - he wants to play for RM but not this year. If he performs well next year, then he's almost certainly off to RM.
