    It's Quiet 17 - Glory Thread

93.20 liked this post, which seemed to suggest it was Zinny, not Ake who was the third to London.

January is a possibility. We'd still probably have to spend somewhere in the neighborhood of £30-40M to get him and that's on a player who will be available for free 6 months later. Is it really worth it? Guess it depends on the state of our season at that point.

Agreed. And when we spent the last two windows lowering our average squad age, why would we boost it by bringing in two players over 30? Yes, Messi is great but he's not leaving Barca at this point. He'll retire there. Sanchez is obviously a possibility but I highly doubt it now.

The Post Transfer Deadline Day (positive) Thread

Yes, that's the most surprising bit to me. I know we have Sterling and Sane but I can't help but to think we're really thin for a team trying to compete in Europe as well as domestically. Not saying keeping Iheanacho would have improved us dramatically but the lack of cover up front is a little...

The Post Transfer Deadline Day (positive) Thread

If there's one good thing that possibly came from today, hopefully it's that clubs who test our resolve in the future know we won't cave into their demands. We need to shed the view clubs have of us based on our past transfer dealings and I think City saying enough is enough with Arsenal and not...

They had Sanchez in their squad last season and look where that got them. Obviously they added Lacazette but they really didn't improve much. Still not making the Top 4. We on the other hand made much greater improvements. Sucks if we don't get him but we're better off than they are.

Tolmie has reappeared on It's Quiet: "Fee agreed, contracts sorted, legal team sorted, medical sorted. Pending a player, wasn't told there was a caveat." "Stay the course."

That's what Tolmie already said a week or so ago. I think the rest of this is just posturing and a money grab.

According to TH, Lacazette was Sanchez' replacement.

I swear, one ridiculous tweet and everyone acts as if the sky is falling. There's still three days left in the window and I'm still confident a bid will be made. Deep breaths everybody.

Lots of Twitter chatter about it. Nothing concrete yet.

All of these people worried about Alexis being in Chile seem to have forgotten that Bony was training with the Ivory Coast in Abu Dhabi ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations when he passed his medical. He was actually introduced by the Ivory Coast FA as a City player even before City unveiled him.

He's a natural left-winger mate. He isn't replacing Aguero. He'd probably play ahead of Sane and get playing time up top but he's not a natural replacement for Kun.
