    Jack Grealish

Guess we’ll just have to disagree on that then mate. The way he’s able to win fouls and his ability to attack and shrug off defenders is very similar in my opinion. Has quickness, technique, and power that Eden was know for.

    Jack Grealish

Think Grealish will really shine. Much different than what we have currently and he resembles a prime Hazard. People are really underestimating him on here, he’s gonna be a top top player on this team.

    Next Manager after Pep

Depending on how Spain does in the next two years, Luis Enrique surely will be near the top of the list. Optics of it makes sense especially if Pep is only in it for two more years. I’m sure Pep will give clear indication early to the board anyways so they are aware and have a succession plan in...

Lionel Messi | Joins Inter Miami (pg4111)

4-1 down yet singlehandedly gave Barca a glimmer of hope in coming back, something that seemed impossible pre match. You’re also forgetting Messi v Dortmund last year and him tearing Napoli and our number one CB target in Koulibaly in August. Copa del Rey against Sevilla last month, he was the...

Lionel Messi | Joins Inter Miami (pg4111)

You saying he hasn’t had a great game against top competition in a very long time makes me wonder if you’ve actually been watching Messi for 15 years like you say. As if he didn’t have a belter of a game against PSG not even a month ago...

    #7 | Raheem Sterling - 2020/21 Performances

Personally I think it’s both that’s missing from Raz. We saw what happened with Mahrez after a string of games on the bench, he responded well and has arguably been our best player the past month. This was after a very poor run of games from him and people claiming he’s not good enough for us...

    #7 | Raheem Sterling - 2020/21 Performances

I think it’s time to truly give Foden and Ferran the string of games they deserve. Love Raz to death but year after year it’s the same thing with him. Ferran is far more clinical and I know had Ferran been given the same opportunities like Raz today, he would’ve bagged them in. It’s frustrating...

    #13 | Zack Steffen - 2020/21 Performances

Agree mate! Definitely an upgrade over Bravo, and although he clearly isn’t as great with his feet as Ederson, offers more leadership from the back. I personally think he’s a better shot stopper from what I’ve seen from him over the years too, being a fellow American and following him closely...

    Dayot Upamecano

disagree mate. if you watched the bundesliga after the covid restart, Upamecano was absolutely shocking. I mean horrid. Even got benched because he was getting torn apart...by Bundesliga opposition. Yes he looked great in the champions league against Atletico, but that was one game. Heck, John...

It's Quiet thread 14 - 'do one' edition

The Napoli game shows Messi is still far from being finished. Single handedly ripped apart Napoli and dribbled past defenders like it was nothing still. Don’t think his legs are near gone, and definitely wouldn’t flop.

agreed that we seem behind them. Makes me wonder though with all these tid bits of information here and in months past if we really might be in for someone big a la Kane. Or that we’ve genuinely been laying the ground work for him or Messi since the turn of the new year. Guess time will tell.

It's Quiet thread 14 - 'do one' edition

Was looking back at my old archived tweets and in February, Blackburn said that “if it isn’t Messi that arrives this summer, it is sure to be another huge name” in regards to Pep wanting to deliver us a CL title. Anyone know if This still sounds feasible In this climate? Who would it be?

Is left back really a problem?

Yes left back is a problem. Mendy is such a hit or miss player for us that a proper left back is essential this summer. Tagliafico would be perfect competition for Mendy, and allows Zinchenko to play in midfield. Zinchenko is way too slow and poor defensively to continue to be our second option...

    Goalkeeper

Think Steffen could surprise a lot of people here. While I don’t think he will become our number 1 in the future, the guy makes some incredible saves. His feet are nowhere near Ederson, but his positioning and reflexes I’d argue are better than Ederson. Too many times ederson lets in longer...

    Players who might improve us

I quite like Partey too. I’ve watched a lot of Atleti games this year and he stands out every time I watch. Played out of his boots against Liverpool too. Think he or Ndidi would fill that Fern role quite well. Both are monsters defensively, and Ndidi has improved his passing game quite well.

    Gareth Bale

Quiet a decent amount to be fair, I get a lot of bundesliga coverage where I live. The kid is only 19 years old too, hell we signed Leroy at 20. Look at Pogba, Reus, Pique, and even Rodri as perfect examples of them leaving their clubs as a youth only to be bought a couple years later. Keep in...

    Gareth Bale

Sancho nonsense? Would he not be the perfect Sane replacement if he were to go?
  20. C

    Gareth Bale

If Sane does end up leaving, wouldn’t this be some what reasonable? Yes I know there’s very little chance at all of it happening, but if Madrid are as desperate to let him go as they seem, perhaps they’d let him go on a free or <25 mil deal just to get him off their books (with RM still paying...
