Season Tickets - 2024/25 | Average increases of 5% despite record profits

Thanks for the reply. I contacted Mike at City Matters who has looked into it and he has confirmed, like the reply to me from the club, you have to be aged 66 on the 1st August to receive the over 65 discount. Maybe the rules have changed since you were 65, but that is the position now.

Season Tickets - 2024/25 | Average increases of 5% despite record profits

I've had a bit of time to think about the 2 replies I've had now, and I'm still confused. I pointed out that last season I paid full price for the seasoncard, but I received the discount when I bought a ticket for the Real Madrid game. The reply said this was because I had reached the age of 66...

Season Tickets - 2024/25 | Average increases of 5% despite record profits

I've received a reply to my question from City. 'They say if you are 65 years old on the renewal date, you will not qualify for the discount, but you will receive the discount for any cup tickets you buy after you reach 66 years during the same season. You have to be aged 66 at the renewal...

Season Tickets - 2024/25 | Average increases of 5% despite record profits

I'm starting to think I was overcharged last season. I've sent an e-mail to the club asking them to check if I paid the full price in error last seaon. M\any thanks to you and Chappie for pointing it out.

No fight. It's all love, peace and respect. I made the wrong conclusion myself a couple of years ago.

Season Tickets - 2024/25 | Average increases of 5% despite record profits

My birthday is in June. I was 66 years old last June, and I received the discount for the first time this season. All I can add is the seasoncard on my phone states my ageband as being 'over 65', and it's quite clear on City's ticket site concessions are available for those aged 'over 65'. I...

Season Tickets - 2024/25 | Average increases of 5% despite record profits

No. I'm 66 and I bought my first seasoncard with the discount this season. If you read the wording, it says 'over 65'.

    do you own anything red?

No. The last red 'thing' I owned was a Honda sportsbike, but I forgave it because it was a beautiful looking machine, and Honda race bikes have always been red. It's since been replaced by a green Kawasaki, but I can honestly say I don't own anything red. I've never thought about it on a...

    Where do we start

My understanding is the Labour party have said sorting out NHS dental treatment is first on the list.

    RAF over Haughton Green

Standard procedure for the RAF escorting a plane that had lost ground communications. The one you saw was flying around in circles, the one I saw, as two of them escorted the plane from Newcastle, followed the plane to Manchester airport and when the plane it was escorting landed, it put on a...

    Daily Mail, your media etc

I don't have a problem with the BBC with their reports of events happening round the world, but I do have misgivings about their political reports concerning the UK. I watch a few youtubers like A Different Bias, Maximillian Robespierre and Truth to Power, and they are superb with their...

How do we resolve the Brexit mess?

It's not up to us if we want to rejoin. Yes, leaving has been a huge mistake, but rejoining is going to be on their terms. They aren't bothered about us leaving, it was our decision as an independent sovereign nation, but they are going to put in place three key points if we want to rejoin. We...

Mr Bates vs the Post Office

Why has it taken a TV programme for the public to know about it? Private Eye has been banging on about this for years, but there hasn't been a squeak about it in the mainstream media until now. 20 odd years of untold misery for those wrongly affected, and the story has been there all along...

Do you pinch from self service counters?

Many years ago now, back in the 70's, I got a job in my local Safeway supermarket aged 16, and I was told at the time 3% was added onto prices to cover the cost of shoplifting. We had a pair of store detectives that came along a few times a month, posing as a couple when they were on the shop...

    What has the UK become?

I don't know if the details have been changed in the new treaty, but the last one was for 1,000 asylum seekers to be sent over there over a five year period, with an unspecified number or asylum seekers coming the other way from Rwanda. The camp they are to be housed in has a capacity of 100...

    Rishi Sunak

I genuinely find this quite amusing. Here we are in 2023, and you are banging on about mainfesto plans from 2010. I'm happpy to accept you are party activist, and your answers are what I would expect. It might surprise you that I'm not a Labour supporter. I have voted Lib Dems for most of my...

    Rishi Sunak

Had Labour won, an austerity programme would still have followed? Jeez, man, where are you getting that from? It's as much a fantasy as 15 minute town centre visits and meat tax. It's deranged nonesense. When will it sink in that austerity was a poltical, and not a financial necessity. David...

    Rishi Sunak

I'm not really bothered asbout your pseudo economics. Austerity was a political decision, and not a financial necessity. At least in those days the government worked to help people, and as I said we had the largest increase in living standards in our history at that time. A tory government came...

    Rishi Sunak

I suppose you believe the lie about the note, 'there is no money left' David Cameron was waving it around for all to see and it was championed by our largely right wing press as proof positive Labour couldn't manage the economy responsibly. That note was nothing more than a traditional self...
