NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

The govt have found copious amounts for whopping contracts recently. I mentioned in an earlier post "SOME".

NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

Given that you know nothing about me, that is one sad assumption. I earn more than a teacher and in a well qualified role not that it's your fucking business. I guess in your weird deluded view that you think it's fair that those who actually work in NHS frontline services had to rely on...

NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

A lot of my family work or have worked in the NHS and if you read my post from the other day I fully support a pay increase as it's not a lot in comparison to the amounts wasted by the govt on track and trace and handing whopping contracts out to their pals. So calm down dear.

NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

Not exactly ridiculous is it? Earlier this year teachers kicked up a fuss about returning to "work" after they'd had plenty of time off on full pay. My brother and his wife both work for the NHS and had to rely on elderly parents during the height of the pandemic for childcare whilst their...

NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

I don't know why a pay dispute needs to be headline news in an environment where people are being made redundant.

NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

Love how solidarity only stretches so far in the public sector. Cue teachers, civil service not giving a toss when those in private sector face mass unemployment when Rishi pulls the plug on furlough payments. But same groups expect public sympathy for their pay demands.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

Wasn't my point. I was actually highlighting the naivety of those in govt from the small island.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

Well yeah. Only a month or two a go, various public figures were gloating about IOM being "Covid free". Hardly something to gloat about given the small population.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

I agree. I just remember councillors there being very smug towards the rest of the UK about being out of lockdown.

    Coronavirus (2021) thread

Weren't many public figures from Isle of Man gloating only a month or so a go they were out or lockdown and nearly Covid free? Lol

I have also seen there's plenty of dates for "Peter Hook and the Light" for UK and Europe in 2022, may hold out for them instead.

For those who have had the vaccine

Is one of the side effects not maintaining social distancing? Plenty of old timers now just seem to do what they want recently having received the vaccine. Forgetting they can still catch and pass on the virus.

NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

The NHS could get rid of Diversity coordinators on 40k a year and middle managers on 70k pa. Then give frontline staff a rise.

NHS being recommended 1% pay rise

The govt can afford £900k a day fees to delloite for consultation on track and trace though. Everybody is feeling the pain, people have lost jobs in the private sector so public sector workers should count themselves lucky. Plenty of people on low pay have worked through the pandemic. Govt...
