Brighton (A) Post Match thread - Champions!!!

Congratulations! What a title race. City only dropped 3 points in the second half of the season - that's insane and overall they've probably deserved the title. Its going to be City and Liverpool dominating the Premier League in the following years.

    POTY - Virgil Van Dijk

Last season this wasn't true. Salah scored 7 times against the big 6. Besides KDB was more of a creator last season. As is often the case, goalscorers are more regularly chosen. Anyone of KDB or Salah would have been a deserving winner.

    POTY - Virgil Van Dijk

The PFA is an award for the best player. What Salah did last season, breaking the record of the likes of Suarez and Ronaldo was amazing. What Man City did to reach 100 points was even better but was more of a collective team effort, whereas we were carried by Salah a lot last season, which is...

In every 8 appearances He's only started half of the 42 games, so he's actually got a goal every 4 games at Liverpool, which is not bad, considering our front three are the main scorers in our team and it was his first season. He also assisted 8 goals in those games.

I would pick Ox before Wijnaldum in games in which teams sit back. He can score goals from around 25 yards away (City fans should know better than anyone), and none of our other midfielders really have that trait. Henderson has been playing well for the last few games, but not at the start of...

Right, but when the Ox was playing we didn't have players like Alisson and Fabinho who are both vital parts of the team now. Are you suggesting that if the Ox was fit then we wouldn't be in the title race right now?

    Liverpool thread 2018/19

Most of this is because of the congested schedule imo. Man City have world-class depth and they can deal with injuries (except maybe to Fernandinho) whereas Liverpool cannot, especially in defence when our backups are injured more than our first team players If KDB was fit this season, tbh you...

They are still injuries though We had to play a 16-year-old when Lovren got injured - surely Lovren is better than him. Matip has been playing amazing since he came into the team. Keita started the season well but then got injured, which disrupted his rhythm. Only now is he starting to find...

Except Lovren, Trent, Keita, Matip and Henderson. Oh and our best midfielder out for the whole season. And our second best CB out for half the season.

It's nice to have a title race this season. If Man City win, they will have done something no other Prem team has done before by winning the Prem in consecutive seasons. If we win, it will be our first ever Prem title, competing against arguably the greatest Premier League side ever seen...

Fair enough Salah is probably better for our system and Sterling better for City's

Where would this Ajax team finish in the Premier League?

Imo 3rd, maybe 4th They've gone through against some of the hardest teams in the competition, but I don't think they would have enough consistency to match Liverpool or City

One team had to get Porto... We had the hardest group draw out of all the English teams, and we got a relatively easier draw this time around. I can't believe City fans are complaining about our draws when they've faced probably the easiest teams overall, especially in the domestic competitions.

Other wrong decisions which have cost Liverpool this season: Sadio Mane goal vs Arsenal should have stood Maguire should have got a red card before scoring the equaliser when we played Leicester Keita should also have got a penalty in that match Alisson was blocked in the Burnley game I won't...
