    Immense.

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2023/24

Can play ahead of Alvarez who has lost form.

    18 | Stefan Ortega - 2023/24

Fantastic. Pep will wonder whether to start with him in the league.

    20 | Bernardo Silva - 2023/24

If you make a list of our greatest big game players, Bernardo should make the top 5. Has scored so many important goals over the years.

    5 | John Stones - 2023/24

Akanji has been our best defender since the start of last season. Almost always available, athletic, good on the ball, intelligent, etc.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

    He's a menace full stop.

Heroes. Doku turned the game. Great first season.

    FA Cup Semi-Final | City v Chelsea pre-match thread

The question is whether to start with the best possible team and use squad players to finish the game or to begin with squad players like Rico and Nunes and then sub on the likes of Rodri, Walker, KDB and Bernie in the 2nd half. I think the 2nd option is better. Given that Grealish played only...

    You are wrong.

    Pep doesn't start abysmal players.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

It's very difficult to tell, but in hindsight I think Pep made a mistake vs Palace by not resting Rodri and not giving him the chance to be completely fresh vs Real away. It's not simply that Rodri wasn't at his best in midfield, but that he didn't contribute to our attack as much as he could...

    FA Cup Semi-Final | City v Chelsea pre-match thread

They wouldn't be amused if things in the league went south due to fatigue and Liverpool/Arsenal won it. Pep should field a good side *and* rest some players. The league is far more important now. To win 4 titles in a row is great in itself. I think the likes of Nunes and Bobb are good enough...

Real Madrid Champions League q/f 2nd leg (H) | Man of the Match

Rodri, Akanji, Gvardiol. Walker was mostly brilliant after their goal...

Real Madrid post match post mortem

I think defenders are often more reliable penalty takers. Gvardiol and Dias could have done the job.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

Proud of the team. The effort was immense. 17-1 corners, 33-9 shots, etc. They needed two deflected goals in the 1st leg and pens in the 2nd to go through. Some of our star players couldn't hit top form due to various reasons, mostly injuries. It's virtually impossible to win a consecutive...

    Real Madrid (H) - Wed 17th April, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

I think their midfield and attack is quite good. The keeper, Nacho and the FBs are not great. If we are not wasteful we are going to score goals.

Thought Stones was really good in Madrid. He's probably not completely fit.

    Real Madrid (H) - Wed 17th April, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

I disagree with your point that he's a much weaker option. He isn't (or so I hope).

    Real Madrid (H) - Wed 17th April, 20:00 | CL | Pre-Match Thread

Akanji has been the only defender in the big leagues since 2015 to complete 100% of his passes in the final third: 63/63 vs Brentford. He lacks some of Stones's qualities, in particular Stones's composure in tight spaces and the ability to dribble, but I'd say his forward passes are a bit better...
