    Brighton (A) - Thu 25th April, 20:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

The only thing I want to see is Phil number 10. Kevin should be on the bench as he can't manage so many games without performances dropping off a cliff. I think Bobb deserves a start too, either right wing or up front if Haaland is not fit.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2023/24

Do people still think we are creating lots of chances in the big games and that Haaland is the problem?

    Pep Guardiola - 2023/24

There's no such thing as deserving to win outside of incorrect refereeing decisions. The fact is we didn't win, just like we haven't won the vast majority of big games this season. And I clearly said it hasn't worked without Gundogan IN THE BIG GAMES. We are having a brilliant season overall...

    Pep Guardiola - 2023/24

He clearly hasn't worked out what to do in the big games without Gundogan. His tactic last night and against Arsenal of playing walking football to start the game is certainly not the answer I can tell you that.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2023/24

Another big game where we create the square root of fuck all and somehow Haaland is the problem? We scored from a defensive error and Kevin missed a sitter. Those are the two chances we created in 120 minutes. I just don't understand the logic of blaming the striker when the rest of the front...

    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2023/24

If both of our strikers look terrible perhaps the tactics have something to do with it? Or maybe the world cup winner and greatest goal scorer on earth have suddenly turned shit, one or the other.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

There was a twitter thread a few months ago about if Foden has more than 70 touches or something he normally gets MOTM. He only managed 79 tonight in 120 minutes. I think as good as Kevin has been that he needs to step aside. Foden has been better than him this season and doesnt deserve being...

I hope some of the posters in this thread will look back in 6/9/12 months and cringe at what they have posted.

    31 | Ederson - 2023/24

Does that now make him our second choice taker if Haaland isnt playing? We were all calling for it in the days of Mahrez et al missing every week.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

This is what you said in case you are going senile in your old age I genuinely fear for the rest of our season,,, we're going to be fucked for Chelski ..... and psychologically fucked for the rest of the league season. When has this happened before after much worse champions league exits??

Real Madrid post match post mortem

I am no genius, but i think your best bet is getting it on the head of your tallest/best header of the ball. Worked for John Terry, Van Dyke and Kompany!

Real Madrid post match post mortem

I am not sure about that, Stones scored like 5 goals in the CL a few years ago and Ake is great from corners. The tactics/routine is just shit, we are more likely to concede on the counter than score from a corner.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

How can you have watched us for the last 4/5 years and come out with such tripe. Were we psychologically fucked after Spurs or Lyon which were 100x worse losses? Of course not, Pep will have them right up to win the cup and league.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

I would have thought Gvardiol and Rodri would be ahead of Bernardo for a pen. That said given how shocking we are at penalties in open play its probably about time we lost one. Rather this than against Liverpool in the cup final.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

He has been awful at them for so long. Plus god knows who dreamt up this new tactic of crowding the keeper and putting it front post every single time. Its never resulted in so much as a shot on target never mind a goal.

Real Madrid post match post mortem

I don't know why after the goal we just tried to walk it in, did we take a single shot from the edge of the box in the last 60 minutes of the game?

Real Madrid Champions League q/f 2nd leg (H) | Man of the Match

Rodri absolutely bossed it as per, Bellingham is only just reappearing out of his pocket.

Surely Ortega must be better than Ederson at pens? The bar is so low.

Ortega on in case of pens?

Its all set up for a Rodri thunderbastard to win it.
