    Kalidou Koulibaly

Best central defender in the world.

    #7 | Raheem Sterling - 2019/20 Performances

I’d definitely try to shift him this summer if we could bring Sancho back for a similar fee - Sane going as well makes it trickier, but someone like Aubameyang as a stop-gap on the left/striker depth would do the job; him and Sancho were pals at Dortmund too.

    Ederson - 2019/20 Performances

    I’m actually typing with it.

    Ederson - 2019/20 Performances

He pathetically knocks it on to Pulisic, and it then rebounds towards goal - again a fundamental issue with his basic goalkeeping technique. Take Fernandinho out of the equation - if he’s not there and it goes straight in, would you not consider it weak goalkeeping by Ederson?

    Ederson - 2019/20 Performances

Watch it, clown. The cult of Ederson is weird - throws goals away regularly, woeful shot-stopping %, but he’s funny looking and has a decent left foot so the tOp bLuEs adore him.

    Ederson - 2019/20 Performances

Watch it again you clown - if it doesn’t hit Fernandinho on the line, the ball has gone straight in off Pulisic because Ederson dealt with it like a still-pissed Sunday league keeper.

    Fernandinho - 2019/20 Performances

Doesn’t matter if he’s the second best central defender in the squad - he’s also the best defensive midfielder in the squad, and if you play him there absorbing danger before it becomes such, we would be far more secure regardless of who’s partnering Laporte.

    Ederson - 2019/20 Performances

Watch the handball incident again - he tries to claw the ball away rather than claiming it with both hands, knocks it onto the Chelsea player and it rebounds towards Fernardinho, thus costing us another game. Calamity, yet again.

    Fernandinho - 2019/20 Performances

Agree - he’s being badly misused, and is going to be harshly immersed in defensive chaos for the rest of his time here. Still our best central midfield anchor, and him being pulled out of the role is probably the single biggest factor in us falling so far behind Liverpool this season.

UEFA FFP investigation - CAS decision to be announced Monday, 13th July 9.30am BST

Once the Scousers box off the title, they’ll be the 5th Premier League winners in the FFP era - it’s clearly made our league more competitive. United and Arsenal - clubs it was allegedly designed to protect, have finished outside the top 4 more often than not. Tottenham have generally replaced...

    Goalkeeper

I’ve never rated him actually - he was just protected by having little actual goalkeeping to do. Steffen can sweep, can pass, but also has the reflexes and shot stopping to eclipse Ederson comfortably within a year.

    #47 | Phil Foden - 2019/20 Performances

Yeah - he’s got everything Bernardo has, but is far more effective; he’s got to be ahead of him in the pecking order now, to develop enough to neutralise the impact of KDB injuries/eventual departure. He needs to be selective with it though - he’s not built like Yaya, so will end up crocked...

    Goalkeeper

After throwing a Manchester Derby away in his last game, the mutant poleaxes one of our players and almost gives another goal away in his next one - yet the groupies will still defend him. You’ll both be on the Steffen bandwagon within 18 months.

    Ilkay Gundogan - 2019/20 Performances

Better than Rodri at the job he was signed to do; we could have persisted with Gundogan and Fernandinho sharing the role for another year or two.
  15. C

    Goalkeeper

I’m with you on this one - Steffen already looks like a better shot-stopper, and very good with his feet; I can see him eclipsing Ederson within a year. Ederson has been found out IMO, in the way Fabian Barthez was after his first season; people enjoy the novelty of his left foot, his sweeping...

    Txiki Begiristain

8 years, 3 titles, no Champions League success; given the unprecedented financial investment, I’d argue that the Barca-lite project has been underwhelming. In 2012, we looked on the brink of our own dynasty to fill the post-Ferguson void, but instead have been sharing the title with some very...

    John Stones - 2019/20 Performances

Doesn’t matter if he does - he isn’t going to here under Guardiola. Unless there’s a new coach coming in this summer, there’s no point in wasting another year of mediocrity, while his value further depreciates. If he’d have moved to Chelsea in 2015, he’d have worked with Mourinho and Conte -...

    Jadon Sancho

I’d prefer Saka - natural width on the left is one of the key elements lacking this season/most of last; seems less obnoxious as well. If Sancho ends up at Chelsea along with Werner, I’d try to get Hudson-Odoi.
  19. C

    Dayot Upamecano

It’s crazy what happens when you watch a player in full games, rather than YouTube compilations. Upamecano has no business here, we have Garcia and Harwood-Bellis, and even Tosin, who has done well in a league that is probably the overall equivalent to he Bundesliga (outside of the top 4) Any...

    Michael Johnson

I completely agree - his demise coincided with the takeover and an influx of huge signings, so people didn’t mourn it in the same manner they did Lake, but he’s was an incredible talent. Foden’s a very talented lad, but doesn’t have the default football IQ Johnson showed as a teenager - to be...
