Hooliganism and Violence Maine Road 80's/early 90's

Wimbledon at Palace in the cup 1999 was the greatest imbalance I have ever seen between City and home support. Huge ground almost empty save for third level City ramming the away terrace. Lost to the Premier league outfit with some deeply dodgy decision, fortunately by then hooliganism had declined.

Will we win the league this season?

Don't think we'll win the league, but I didn't think we'd win in 2012 after losing at Arsenal and going 8 points behind the rags with 5 games to go . Anything can happen mean time league cup to concentrate on two games from Wembley .

Nonce loving BBC at again. This mornings NW news had film of rags goal at Leeds, dippers goal at Fulham and guess what, Chelseas goal at City. What is wrong with these people.

Kevin Sinfield still not got a knighthood, no man deserves it more, yet that waste of skin Beckham gets one years after his mediocre career ended.

Looking forward to hearing the atmosphere at Elland Rd this weekend, it's the one place the rags receive the welcome they richly deserve.

Was amazed Palace had to play on Saturday after playing in Europe on Thursday night. Can't see that happening to the red tops. Am I paranoid in thinking the premier league would prefer a huge Yorkshire City in their ranks rather than a small Lancashire town.

Never seen anything like the Arse kissing the rags recieved on MOTD you would think they had won. The nearest thing I can remember is Liverpool being praised to the sky's following a 1 1 draw with City. This fawning over the red shirts is totally embarrassing.

Think after today's result and Celtics disastrous form the title could be heading to Tyney. Would be great for Scottish football for the title to finally reside in the capital. Up the Jambos, Up the Blues, no to the old firm.

    Happy York (A) day

Not on that day alas, but been to Bootham Crescent with Fleetwood. Smashing little ground close to the beautiful City centre and loads of great pubs. Too many great old grounds gone replaced by soulless bowls in beer deserts. As well as Maine Rd, the Vic at Stoke, Burnden Park and many more...

EFL Semi Final Draw | Newcastle United - 2nd leg at home

Would have liked Newcastle in the final a repeat of that wonderful day 50 years ago next March.

    Metrolink to / from Etihad

That bitch deregulated the bus industry in 1985, it meant longer hours for less money for the drivers. For the public it meant a glut of buses on popular routes and some housing estates left without any service whatsoever. Was disappointed the Blair and Brown government's did not reverse...

Played for City but never should have

His great years were at Newcastle, had spells with the rags when he couldn't hit a cows arse with a shovel. Not universally loved by rag fans,OT just a stop on journey man's career

Wasn't on in 2012 or 2022 can only go off TV but the Wigan game was something else. It was just before the rags champions league final at the end of their treble winning season. But in town that night it was as if they never existed the feeling on the streets and in the pubs was electric...

At most games at Maine Rd I would watch from the Kippax as a trickle of bodies would pass down the Platt Lane steps with 20 mins to go. By the last 5 minutes it would become a flood as hundreds streamed out, probably happened in other parts of the ground but the Platt Lane exodus was most...

    Happy Birthday Nigel de Jong

We need his like now. Always at our best with a hard man in the side, be it Mike Doyle, Dave Watson or Andy Morrison. Loved the guy. Let mo one take liberties.
