League One Thread - 2021/22 | Sunderland promoted

What a day that was. I’m still buzzing now. 5th trip to Wembley and finally a win. Have a look at the limbs for that second goal ;-)

Callum Doyle | On loan at Leicester City

He played a beautiful cross field ball about 50 yards to Gooch chest in the second half. Reading that review, surely it’s at least a 7

Callum Doyle | On loan at Leicester City

Nothing more challenging than Akinfrnewa. He come on, Doyle lost a couple battles but recovered. 17 year old against a seasoned pro who’s built like a brick shithouse

Callum Doyle | On loan at Leicester City

I absolutely love Callum Doyle. He’s got the balls to try and play a pass that makes a difference. Said to the lads at the match today while watching the game, “how on earth is he only 17” hope to god we go up this year and get him on loan again in the championship.

Callum Doyle | On loan at Leicester City

To be fair I can see the comparison in the term of intercepting the ball and getting infront of the forward. Frightening that he’s 17 I was very impressed today. Some boy

This kid is 17. Jesus Christ he hasn’t got his man strength yet. Frightening talent, even at this level.

Callum Doyle | On loan at Leicester City

Here, what a player lads, first ten mins he lost two headers through experience of leaving shoulder and body in but he learnt and adapted. He was brilliant. I will eat my own arse if he isn’t a feature in a city side in years to come

Callum Doyle | On loan at Leicester City

I’m quite excited about him signing for a season after reading what you lads have said about him, if he can handle the aggression in this league sounds like he will be a great addition for the season

Think Ross Stewart will be the main striker he’s looked good when he’s started, very mobile for a big lad gets in behind. Better all round game than Wyke. We really need to add goals from midfield I think leadbitter was our second top scorer with 7 mostly penalties.

Hopefully this season we get our transfers right, too often especially last season we had a lot of slow ponderous play and not a lot of pace in the side. Be a massive turn over this season I think we will bring in around 12-14 new players due to players being released and Wyke looks like he’s...
