Skala Errossos on Lesvos is lovely. Chilled laid back and fantastic beach and restaurants along it. (Also a big lesbian destination) Paxos is a lovely small island, Loggos is a great resort. Lindos is beautiful, narrow winding streets, superb restaurants and bars, but does get very busy during...

Jamie Carragher blocked from Dortmund away section

I get some of the softly softly approach from the club over many things. Even if I don't agree with them. But they really need to make an example of this piss taking twunt. Banned from the ground immediately. Anything less is unacceptable.

Huntingdon Train Incident - Reports of multiple stabbings

If two people start stabbing passengers on a train, what is it other than terrorism?

    City monitoring the forum

It'd be ideal if we had something along the lines of say a credit card, that you just swipe to gain access to the stadium for games. Then you could just give it to a mate or family member to use too ...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Yup, not like when I worked there as Mirror Group, and we had the bastion of goodness that was Captain Bob Maxwell, (not forgetting his offsprings too) leading us ;-)

    Blackpool illuminations

Agreed. I had the same view of Blackpool for years following a visit to see the illuminations and seeing two 'ladies' on a hen night peeing in the gutter in daylight. And yes, still goes on and some aeras, like Central Drive are the pits. But since living in the area, we do go into Blackpool...

    Blackpool illuminations

Until we moved to the area, (PLF) I always assumed Thornton Cleveleys was one and the same. But they are two very separate towns. Cleveleys being a seaside resort, and Thornton having it's own centre too. Wyre Country Park is great for taking our dogs to in the summer. Upstream The Shard...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

1982 was a very special year in my life too. Had started dating a young lady in November 1981, and by 82 it was full on love thingy. Her parents had an apartment in Spain, and we went in the May for my first foreign holiday (two day trip to Calais with school not counting) We were both...

    Tipping on ordering

Just home last week from Japan, where there was no tipping in taxis, restaurants, nowhere ... not expected, not asked for and if anything insulting to offer. Refreshing.

So glad I didn't dip into the Matchday thread today. More flapping fannies than a porn film festival.

    Burnley (H) - Sat 27th Sept, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

25 mins to ko. Was sensible and got back to the hotel here in Osaka, as got to get a train at 7 am to Hiroshima. All well and good, but now finding it really hard to not keep up with the game online ... ffs. :-)

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Loved that OB1, especially the full stories of your young American adventure. Happy daze indeed. (and how are the Roberts brothers doing nowadays?) 1981 had so much great music and you covered so much of it there. I still rate Fire as BÖC's finest in a long time. For me there was one stand...

    Holidays

In Hong Kong right now. 34c and humidity off the scale, we are melting. A Category 8 typhoon due in a few hours, everywhere locking down. Airport closing, ferries cancelled. Just hoping clears for our flight to Tokyo.

If you get back there, look for it. (Right in the centre) live bands in most weekends. 50 year anniversary this year, Socs was good mates with David Gilmour who had a house in the village and often went in. Sadly he died several years ago, but his two sons now run it.
