    Bernard Halford

He always denied that emphatically. Said it was cos he was from Failsworth some accused him of being a Biffo. Pub we used to see him in every week (The Horseshoe, Droylsden Rd, Newton Heath) had a rag owner then, (and another one now, lol) and many rag customers. To be fair he stood his ground...

Fucking hell fire ... Every time he plays for England it seems. :-(

    Bernard Halford

I may have mentioned it elsewhere, but he was a regular in our local back in the day. I asked him once, how come whichever regime we have in charge, and others go, he always remains? His reply with a wink was, 'Because I know where all the bodies are buried'. ;-)

    Travelling to Madrid

Good tip for all. Go for the Menu del Diaz in restaurants. Great value especially for a capital city.

Project is one of them. Made in the same original Karndean plant. A bigger range of styles too.

    Karndean LVT flooring

First heard of Karndean via the missus, when one it was being laid in a pub refurbishment. Guys couldn't speak highly enough of it. We had it laid in the kitchen and hallway, and ten years on, it still looked like new, without a single scratch or mark. And we had three Springers charging...

Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

Yeah, a mate went and said he was terrible. Left the audience to sing a lot of it. A real shame, as in his day he had one of the best voices. This is billed as their farewell tour, so maybe one of the reasons is his problems. A bit late for the Manc gig, but at least he has put any ego aside...

    The Full Members Cup

Went with mates by train. Two of us got seperated on the way to the stadium, and we ended up walking right through the Chelsea end looking for our turnstile. They left us alone, probably thought we were headcases or hard as fuck to be there, lol. At 5-1 down we said sod it, and went and got...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I watched a good part of that. Gave up as no disrespect to whoever the guy is fighting our corner from the pile on, I wish it had been somebody more articulate doing so. What is pretty poor about this tv show though is, it's hosted by two of Sky's main commentators on our games. Their bias...

When fast food becomes gourmet grub

As said above, I get exactly whey etc. But higher prices will put off many using so often. A vicious circle for them.

Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

Have seen this being discussed on a Rock forum I go on today. A very clever and accurate 'copy' (is that the right term for it even?) But beyond most all being impressed by it, and the thought of further such like with other bands came up with many ideas, the thought of where this could go...

When fast food becomes gourmet grub

Oh don't I know it. And whichever way it's justified, it still means as a customer (and also having increases in costs in running a home) then I'll not buy as often, which then further hits their business. Not good all round.
