    10 | Rayan Cherki - 2025/26

Kev was always shit until he was great. There was rarely a middle ground. He'd misplace pass after pass, and then suddenly he'd do something stunning and just be the best player on the pitch after that. It's almost like he needed calibrating during the game. Sometimes it was immediately...

Makes you wonder how we won so many leagues with no "natural"LB too.

Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

We absolutely did defend well. Constant interceptions, great one on one defending from the FBs in particular. Donnarumma punched everything away, we defended 11 corners against set piece experts perfectly. The defensive was exceptional for 97 minutes out of a 98 minute game. It wasn't just sit...

    3 | Ruben Dias - 2025/26

And if he doesn't do it anymore, does it mean he's changed personally? I do worry just how much winning a treble and four in a row takes from a player. It's the pinnacle of club football. You've genuinely completed it once you've done that. I reckon quite a lot of footballers will start...

Jack Grealish | Set to join Everton on season-long loan

I absolutely get that mate. Sorry! Just genuinely a bit fearful of who is reading this! I know people are paying attention. The England stuff was Guardiola making it quite clear that he didn't see Jack as 'fit', and Grealish immediately turning up for England looking like there was nowt wrong...

Jack Grealish | Set to join Everton on season-long loan

Only fair that a few would be in denial re Grealish given they've likely not heard the stories that some have from people they have absolutely no reason to doubt. It really isn't hard to read between the lines. The England stuff was the biggest public indicator.

    Goalkeeper situation summer 25

Was a while back tbf and he was a teenager. Might be pushing 6'4 now, but he's definitely not 6'5/6 which the internet suggests.

that longo fella was all over the Reijnders stuff, so feel there's a decent credibility in the rumour

Expected Goals. There and back again

Would be nice! Think we saw some signs of it at the CWC for Doku actually. Ultimately it comes down to coaching decisions, tactics and then quality. It was Arteta who worked one on one with sterling btw for those drills!

    James Trafford

ha cheers mate! Admittedly these days i dont know much about the current generations as i just dont watch academy games anymore as i dont have the time (parenthood!). I can speak with conviction on the Palmer/Trafford era, but not the current ones.

Expected Goals. There and back again

Genuinely quite funny reading loads of people arguing against xG not realising that once again it's just their old school language put into metrics. You. Are. All. Saying. The. Same. Thing. Just data teams look at it all methodically and come up with stats as opposed to saying 'we had loads of...

Expected Goals. There and back again

There is no point arguing against xG. It's literally not some philosophy or anythng. It's just numbers and probability. We've all been referencing it since we all started watching football, but in different language. One person might say 'he creates high xG for himself so scores regularly due to...

Expected Goals. There and back again

Can confirm. Was fascinating. The premise being that if Sterling was consistently finding himself in a place to take shots where xG is high (or i you just wanna be less modern and call them 'easier chances') then his return would be higher. They literally spent weeks on the training pitch doing...

    James Trafford

Hate to be a spoilt sport but he's not a City fan btw. Grew up a Chelsea fan. Might be one now though in the way Carragher became a Liverpool fan due to being at their academy etc.

Miles better. Bazunu never looked that comfortable at it

    James Trafford

Load of bollocks. He's the best I've seen of our former academy keeper prospects with his feet. He was brilliant at it at City.

    General transfer rumours

Well...within reason. They can't make me run like Kyle Walker. They can probably help insanely talented sprinters shave tenths of a second off their PBs though, which is marginal stuff when considering how pace is used in football.
