Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

The English FA can’t get rid of international friendlies or UEFA competitions. I also think some people would be in a for a bit of surprise if you gave players an ultimatum between a club game and a ‘pointless’ international game.

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

Maybe. But that doesn’t mean we would have lost a shoot out.

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

Were you also against the scrapping of unlimited replays on the grounds that could have denied a hard up lower league club an extra three or four or even more money spinning games?

    Bars around Piccadilly Station

Also insist you navigate around…No I don’t wanna give a tip thanks, £7 is quite enough for a pint, on the card reader, before it lets you tap.

    Bars around Piccadilly Station

Don’t think that’s really a pub anymore. More just a music venue I think.

Sainsbury's - Employee sacked for not paying for bags

Sainsbury’s campaigned for years for the introduction of Sunday opening with the promise that all current staff would keep their old terms and conditions and not be forced into working Sundays. And those that chose to would be paid at the existing extra rate. As soon as they thought a suitable...

    Bars around Piccadilly Station

There’s probably over 50 bars within a 10 minute walk of the station in the NQ area that cater for your real ale types. In fact apart from The Milly, The Crown & Anchor and The Wheatsheaf, pretty much all of them do. Maybe not Tib St. Tavern either.

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

It does if we’d won those games in extra time or pens. If they’d scrapped final replays a few years earlier, we might well have won it ‘81.

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

Are you advocating a return to unlimited replays out of interest?

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

Yeah, they’re celebrating drawing a game of football. Imagine how much bigger and better those celebrations would be if they’d actually gone on and beaten them on penalties? I’m sure they appreciate the money earned from the replay and how it maybe contributed to future success. But nobody will...

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

I’m sure a better memory would have been seeing them beat United on penalties in the first game, rather than seeing them getting an inevitable 5-0 tonking in a replay.

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

It seems a bit contradictory that the one and only reason I’ve seen for opposing scrapping replays is so smaller clubs can make more money. Isn’t this normally the complete opposite view that most fans have? That the game is all about money these days? I’ve not seen a single argument to keep...

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

What motivation would the FA and the Premier League have for enabling some of its member clubs to fuck off and join an independent organisation?
  14. S

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

I’m well aware the Premier League isn’t everything. The vast majority of FA Cup replays don’t involve glamour sides or live TV. They probably cost the away side more money in expenses than prize and gate money in the early rounds, more often than not if they’re not local. Also in the vast...

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

Can’t really see any negatives other than just automatically being against any change to tradition as a matter of principle. The whole idea of a cup competition is the jeopardy of a one off tie. I don’t see a non league club drawing with a Premier League team once every 20 years and being...

    City Fans Leaving Early/Empty seats

So people do leave the cinema with 10 minutes to go. We can put that one to bed now at least.

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

I’m pretty sure I’ve read that while UEFA don’t totally dictate how individual countries allocate their places, there is pretty strict criteria to which they must adhere to. It’s a secondary point anyway. Nobody with even an outside chance of relegation come January is going to risk losing...

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

The group stages from next season are 8 games not 10. The 6 current slots, plus 2 more after Christmas.

Emirates FA Cup Changes Ahead of 2024/25:

I highly doubt they would. I’m also pretty sure UEFA wouldn’t allow it.

    Penalty Taker

Grealish has never taken a penalty in a first team match, so not sure there’s any evidence how good he is from the spot. DeBruyne should be the perfect choice but he’s missed two of the nine he’s taken for City and wasn’t too convincing on some of the ones that did go in from memory.
