    Florian Wirtz

You really don't think Lewis is good enough?
  2. J

    Jamal Musiala

My choice would be Musiala but they're both great young talents. Regardless, Wirtz to Bayern next summer feels like a done deal to me.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Next summer will be the time to strike if City are smart (which our board is). Fully expect to see us finally break open the war chest and bring in the next generational midfielder to replace the KDB/Bernie/Gundo era. Really hope it's Musiala. Or maybe we already have the next KDB in the fold...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Not the person you're responding to but its not about the money. Of course we could spend hundreds of millions right now if want to - we have a sizable war chest built up through prize money and good transfer business. The problem is that A) the big name targets are currently not available...

Bobb injured in training | Fractured leg confirmed (p 5)

If it's only 2-3 months I'll take it. We have a long season ahead of us and Oscar will still play a big part in it. Wish him a speedy recovery.

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2024/25

Bobb was absolutely going to break out this season. Disastrous if true. Hopefully it's just a load of bollocks and the kid picked up a lesser injury or something. A leg break would pretty unheard of as a pre-season training injury.

    75 | Nico O'Reilly - 2024/25

Lost count how many times he gave the ball away cheaply with misplaced passes. Still think he's closer to City's level than McAtee, who doesn't even have the physical tools going for him like O'Reilly does.

    Dani Olmo

Foot Mercato is very unreliable tbf. Not saying we aren't in for Olmo, but I think it'd take Alvarez joining Atletico to happen.

    Ederson

Sam Lee is a fucking idiot, but I'm more curious who is giving him this story. Is it someone from City? Someone from Ederson's camp? Is it coming from one of the Saudi clubs trying to weaken our position? Just a weird situation all around honestly. Even though he's a **** I'd be surprised if he...

    Kalvin Phillips

Same. It's not Kalvin's fault he's not on the level required to play at City. He didn't suddenly become a shell of himself overnight, he just was never good enough to begin with. This might be the most disastrous transfer I can remember our board making in a long while when you factor in wages...

Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

Don't see an issue with Alvarez wanting to be the main man somewhere else. He's earned it, and even though he played a lot of minutes last season I don't see him getting as many this season. Feel like people are being purposefully obtuse and ignoring the fact that A) both Haaland and KDB missed...

Manchester City v Celtic post match thread

I can see Bobb getting more of Bernie's minutes this season. Plays a similar role and it would make sense to start preparing Oscar to take over that role for the future. No doubt Bobb is a nailed-on first teamer now for us. Think Susoho and Wright could have a shot at making it at City if...

Manchester City v Celtic post match thread

It's both. Ederson and Rodri are the two most important players in Pep's system. Ederson allows us to break the high press with his distribution and Rodri is the best DM in the world for press-resistance and build-up play. Thanks for pointing out the importance of Ederson though - a lot of...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

They'll low-ball us on Kev just like they have been doing with Ederson. I'd be surprised if they're offering anywhere over 50m for him.
  15. J

    Eberechi Eze

Very different player profiles. Not comparable in the slightest.
  16. J

    Joao Felix

Felix's career has been in a downward spiral ever since he left Benfica. City aren't in the market for reclamation projects. Why would we want a guy who couldn't cut it at Chelsea?
  17. J

    Players who might improve us

You think Zubimendi would entertain leaving Spain for Manchester when he knows Rodri is here? The guy who benches him in the Spanish national team? That's why. Also he's been reported to have homesickness and doesn't want to leave Real Sociedad.

Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

It's purely because we have the best striker in the world already in Haaland. Alvarez isn't in the starting XI if the squad is fully healthy. I like Alvarez but if an offer of £80-90M came in I'd gladly take that for our backup striker.
  19. J

    Players who might improve us

Zubimendi isn't leaving Spain to be a backup for Rodri. And I doubt Pep would play a Zubimendi / Rodri double pivot.
  20. J

    Dani Olmo

We acan still negotiate with RB Leipzig after his RC expires. Might have to pay a bit more for Olmo, but we have a good relationship with them and just got the Gvardiol transfer done last summer. Point is we can't bring in Olmo until we've sorted out our current squad.
