£3.5m bid for Joe Hart

Good news if this is true.

Manchester City have rejected Birmingham boss Alex McLeish’s bid to sign Joe Hart.

The Scot has been told that the keeper will be returning to Eastlands at the end of this season.
However, McLeish has not ruled out signing the England international for another year when his loan expires in the summer.

He said: 'Manchester City will take Joe Hart back at the end of the season. There is no chance of us signing him in January.

'We asked the question and they said that won't happen.

'It is Manchester City's policy and they said that it was always the game-plan.

'They were going to be putting in an active policy of young players in place as well as bringing in the big names.'

looks like we wont be selling him, looks more like he may be going on loan agian to them next season from what mcleish is saying.

brilliant move all round if true.

The comments in the mirror were taken from his motd interview where he made the comments in relation to an England place. They could apply to city if you have an agenda and take the comments out of context of the question.

I think if James is fit the 3 english keepers in capello's squad should be James, Hart and Robinson/Green with Hart as number 2 and Robinson/green only included to make up the numbers.

latest on Sky McLeish has no hope; <a class="postlink" href="http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_5817967,00.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528, ... 67,00.html</a>

I think Joe Hart will be the English national team's number one goalkeeper (few years later). I hope that we won't sell him. The Birmingham is very good this year, they got just 18 goals, and Joe has 8 clean sheets. We need him!

We really have to keep this guy!

Future England no 1!

He coulkd learn so much from Given and Im sure we could give him some games!

Carling Cup etc!

Dont want Brum with thir new found wealth to sign him !

He is our future and if this homegrown player rule comes in then we just got to keep hold of him!
