“Unlucky” Offside

Turned Foster(I think) the then England centre half.
He was so quick Foster didnt even see the move, neigther did the linesman who thought it must have been offside as it happened so quick.
 
Semantic hair-splitting. It is like "the kettle's boiling" when it's the water that is boiling.
 
Danny Tiatto at Boro was always a travesty being disallowed.

That's the most ridiculous offside I've ever seen. He ran all the way from his own half with the ball before putting it in the net. It would have been one of the goals, if not the goal, of the season. Poor old Danny didn't score many either.
 


This one, by Kevin Keegan in his Southampton days against the rags, is a good example of the way goals used to be tenuously disallowed because players other than the scorer were in an offside position.
