“White men should have black slaves” - Tory councillor

Normally I think people should have the right to free speech but this kind of thing is embarrassing and shameful in this day and age. The party should sack him as he just can't be taken seriously if he genuinely believe this kind of stuff.

How about “meritocracy” ? in China the people that govern do so on merit.

Thatcher believed in every thing she did she wasn’t a liar I think she thought that decimating the steel and coal industry would be better for the country but those parts of the Uk so decimated voted in the Tories again and again.

I was going to explain, but looking at your contributions I think it would be way over your head. I will try anyway.

In Marxist theory, a new democratic society will arise through the organised actions of an international working class enfranchising the entire population and freeing up humans to act without being bound by the labour market. What you think is Communism is actually a bastardisation of Marxist theory in which democracy is replaced by Dictatorship.

In regards to this thread white men having slaves is anti working class as the poster you replied to pointed out and therefore imcompatible with the new democratic society envisaged by Marx.
 
To be fair to Ted Heath, he threw out Enoch Powell for far less than this.

The Tories have gone a long way downhill in their pursuit of power at any cost. Not content with wrecking the economy with Brexit, they have allowed sundry racist cunts to infiltrate their party. That anyone in any mainstream party should think like this, let alone say it, is appalling, but it's where we are.

@Rascal, I always enjoy your contributions in the political threads, for a few reasons.
1. You are consistent.
2. You are genuine in your beliefs for a better society.
3. You are also informative, whether I necessarily agree with your leanings or not.

I tend to agree with your hopes and aspirations from time to time, even if I don’t connect your choices of actions, to how to achieve them. At least not instinctively, for me.

The highlighted passage from your contribution is a good example. Consistent, genuine and informative but I know from your past contributions that you favoured Brexit for your own idealistic aspirations.
However I look at the description of Marxism and although I would never try to equate the likes of the EU with what Marx had in mind, however, I do see an opening up of borders and boundaries and a globalisation of worker’s rights and standards and regulation of market practices as far more in keeping with a fair future world, than a retreating into your own shell behind your borders.

This is not a pop at you Rascal. As I said, I genuinely enjoy your contributions for the reasons I have given.

At the risk of derailing this thread. Just wondering what your take is on how this is panning out.
If you know my history of contributions in here you will know where my particular interests lie.

You say that like racist Tories are a new development. They've always had a significant portion of racist members, MPs and councillors in their party. It's just that most of them aren't stupid enough to publicly admit to such views.
