Midfielder: Joe Cole

Forward: Torres


I know people will see torres and think that i'm fucking deluded or whatever but i genuinlly think we have a decent chance of getting him.

Who would yours be?

Definitely Pedro Geromel from Cologne for the central defense. A classy, big and strong defender who's great at starting attacks is just what we need at the back.

Marek Hamsik from Napoli for the midfield. A great attacking midfielder with a terrific eye for goal. Would give Ireland the necessary competition, and is a firm favorite of Mancini.

In attack, I think we are loaded with options, and I don't see us getting anyone there.

Defence Gary Cahill (Good player, will need no time to adapt. Straight into Derby day squad. Also will help when the inevitable anti-Foreign rules come into play)
Midfield Stankovic (Covers many positions, done well under Mancini before)
Striker Ballotelli (Absolute gem of a player, suited to our league possible question marks over attitude but we need this kind of talent.)

pabzab, u chose the same players i would of chose and for the same reasons...i do believe we have to look at recruiting more brittish talent or atleast fetching them through from academy for this new rule change that will be coming into affect. that's the exact reason i would have gone for gary cahill, he's young, pretty good and still has a lot of time to improve.
