Some people may rate Grealish because they find him handsome, but other people such as Pep rate him because of his technical qualities. I can see the similarities between Grealish and Beckham off the pitch, but they are very different as players.

How good can Grealish become? Probably not as good as legends of the PL, but good enough to help us win many trophies. If we were told that Gundogan would be our top scorer in one season and help us win the PL with some crucial goals, we'd have been happy to overpay for him. Ultimately, what justifies transfers are trophies. IF Grealish helps us win the league/CL, we'll be happy, at least most of us.
Gundogan was a world class player before he arrived, the only reason we got him so cheaply was because we and Dortmund knew he had a major knee issue that needed surgery, we took a risk and have been hugely rewarded.

Personally don't think Grealish is anywhere near Gundo's level but I hope he proves me wrong but one thing Grealish should do, is look what a magnificent pro Gundo is on and OFF the pitch.

Grealish will never reach the same planet as David Silva. One is a magician and the other is a showpony.

My point was Silva took time to settle settle as most players do not that Grealish will be Silva. He will be a big player for us though.

Mahrez is still spending quite a bit of time on the bench, I really wanted Grealish but I must admit he is starting to worry me. We spent £100m on him and I don't think he has earned a place in our best front three yet. When we eventually buy a striker that is one less place in the front 3 three. I realise that it is a squad game and he will always get game time and it's early days, just wish he would produce a bit more. I get a buzz every time I see his name on the team sheet, but am ultimately left underwhelmed by his performances.
open your eyes wide mate. let me say this again, so listen carefully with your mind. Grealish was not bought for the front 3 but for the middle of the park. bernardo staying changed that for the short term so he is being played out of position. hopefully posters here remember this line before posting the same useless arguments.

First of all this is not a dig at Grealish , he's a brilliant footballer worth the admission fee on his own , but i do question our recruitment because we didnt need Jack Grealish , we have four or five players who can slot into the team where Grealish has been utilised. We needed a £100-150m striker , but they were thin on the ground and with the money burning a hole in our pocket we bought Grealish , who will still when acclimatised to our tactics will make a decent contribution , but any criticism of Grealish has to be tempered we are asking him to play a false nine at times a position he has never played. Not sure what his best position in our team is because at Villa he had a free reign to cause chaos and we dont give players a free reign.
He is an expensive cog in a well oiled machine and with the quality of our playing squad he was never going to stand out head and shoulders amongst the likes of KDB , Mahrez , Foden , Gundo , Bernardo etc. Jack's issues are similar to Mahrez , a big fish in a small pond but it has worked out well for Mahrez hopefully it will for Jack as well.
Simple answer. bernardo was leaving so we bought Jack but in the end he ended up staying.

I think this team can win CL and Jack can be the central figure..

I don't see any team able to win the ball against the midfield where you have Bernardo and then you have Grealish - who also is able to drop back if needed and take that ball by dribbling through 2-3 opponents..

His finishing skills are also good and I think he sometimes gets unlucky when he doesn't score.

For me, he makes complete False 9 and maybe is the last detail Pep missed last season to win the CL title..

Even against tough opponents like Chelsea, if they somehow cope with the Bernardo well, you have Grealish who then gets the space and makes divine intervention :D

I know why some of you expect more, but soon you will even say that 100 million was a little money for such a great player <3

Agree with that, I’ve been a critic of the outlay, and probably always will be as it didn’t seem a necessity, however, there’s something there in peps bag of tricks which most fans can’t comprehend, those who are staunch believers are doing so more in hope, but also the belief in Peps keen eye… yes we can see his talent but the rabbit out of the hat will be 12 months off imo, although I fully expect to see Peps slight of hand, how can he even be questioned? A genius who sees the game on a different plane!

Please open your eyes and listen carefully with your mind. I don't know when Pep told you what position he was bought to play but next time you see him can you ask him to try him in a different position because so far he has been underwhelming.
